RE: Too Late? – Hebrews 6:4-6

It seems like a few are teaching on this subject at once. Makes me wonder if everyone watches each other’s videos and they want to do their take on it. That or maybe they share the same viewers and the viewers ask them to give their take on the matter. This is one of those topics that I just don’t know what to think. I’ve heard good points on both sides.

My thought is that while it is possible to fall away from the free gift of salvation, if a person is showing the 'fruit of repentance' through their conviction of their transgressions, they are still grafted into the tree and have not been cut off. If a believer (having tasted the goodness of the Word of God) renounces their faith and rebels against God by walking contrary to Him, he is pruned off and "it's impossible for those... to be brought back to repentance" because of their hardened heart.

For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned. Hebrews 6:7-8

I know what you mean, I have seen a few as well discussing this topic or something similar to it! I could be the Spirit working as well...can't forget the Spirit!!! :-)
