Only if we confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior is that we become his children, says the Bible.

(Romans 10: 9-19): That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes for righteousness; But with the mouth confession is made for salvation. This is the faith we preach.
