STEEMCHURCH: God has great plans for us
(Ephesians 1: 11-12)
11 In him also we had an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who does all things according to the design of his will,
12 so that we may be for the praise of his glory, we who first expected in Christ.
The purpose is an important mission that we all have to fulfill on earth, it is the reason why we live and were created, but most of the people in the whole world have no idea why they have been created because their existence is here in the earth does not have goals, objectives to accomplish. God to every human being that creates is for a special purpose and we have to discover it little by little to realize it.
We usually ask ourselves what will be our purpose to fulfill on earth? God never says them completely but part by part because we have a very limited mind to understand all the things that God has for us, but we have to change our attitudes and ask God to fulfill the purpose he has for us .
We know that God created us with a purpose
- God created the universe with a just purpose for all of us.
(Proverbs 16: 4)
4 All things the Lord has done for himself,
And even the wicked for the bad day.
In Christ Jesus we were chosen for salvation, God has everything already planned and planned does not usually improvise the things he does.
God has chosen us and he has known how to create us and what we are going to do before the creation and foundation of the universe. We were born under his will, and we were created to fulfill a special purpose.
He has put us on earth to do great missions for his glory, says the book of the prophet Jeremias:
(Jeremiah 1: 5-10)
5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I sanctified you, I gave you a prophet to the nations.
6 And I said: Ah! Oh, Lord Jehovah! The thing is, I do not know how to talk, because I'm a child.
7 And Jehovah said to me, Do not say, I am a child; because you will go to everything he sends you, and you will say everything he tells you.
8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.
9 And the Lord stretched out his hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
10 See that I have set you this day over nations and kingdoms, to pluck up and to destroy, to ruin and to tear down, to build and to plant.
When we are not in God's purpose but in our own expectations
We tend to be that we want to do what we want, the goals that we think are the life we think we want to take that I think it best to do so the other thing I like more, that word we say: "TO MY LIKE" That is what makes us rebellious and want to do what we want with our lives. Where it should not be so our life must be governed by the will of God and what he wants to do with it, that is, he has the purpose in us but we do not want to accept his will but what we like.
It is where we ask ourselves questions like: What should I do with this life? What goals should I develop? What meaning does our existence have? This happens because we are not clear that Jehovah has plans for our lives and that we must subject ourselves to his will.
(Proverbs 21: 2)
2 Every way of man is right in his own opinion;
But Jehovah weighs hearts.
When we are subject to the will of God we find the purpose in our life.
When we hold onto and accept God's will in our lives, He will reveal to us the purpose He has for us. God expects us to accept his will and to follow his path in order to show us his purpose. When finding and knowing the purpose of our life is to submit ourselves to Him, and when at last we remove that bandage that did not allow us to see the great purposes of God. So we must stop struggling with our own strength and surrender to God and let Him perform in us what He has predestined in each of our lives.
(Matthew 16: 24-26)
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples: If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For everyone who wants to save his life will lose it; and everyone who loses his life for my sake will find it.
26 For what will it profit a man, if he will gain the whole world, and lose his soul? Or what reward will man give for his soul?
It is important that we seek God's help to know what our purpose is in life, so we will not be lost fighting to know what we should do, but we are in his will and bear fruit with all the great things that God has prepared if we follow him and accept his plans, we will be opened doors in which we have never before imagined without him.
