PRAYER AND PURITY

Prayer cannot be really exercised without purity, prayer is not just a request , it is a communication with the most high God. The atmosphere for every real communication is the atmosphere of purity. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God matt 5. Purity leverages our relationship with God. God is essentially holy , His personality, His values , His potentials , His connection with anybody has one single entry and realizable point - purity. His purity contents is only nothing lesser, nothing better , those who aspire and attain this state of heart have freer faster and greater access to the throne room of the almighty and to his secrets psalm 24 vs 3- 4 and to coppers of his treasuries Isaiah 1 vs 19 , no heart could reveal his personality truly without purity, no heart accesses his throne without purity. Therefore He calls those He wants first to purity, secondly to purpose. Purity of this texture is properly defined through and accessed by prayer and attained in prayers. Real praying by its scrutinized nature could only be breed and breathe through purity of heart. Real praying purifies the heart and the soul to see God. Purity gives the soul wings to ascend the throne of grace psalm 24 vs 1 – 4.

Purity should be viewed as the greatest assets of a Christian. It should be followed as the greatest of all pursuits, for every one that seeks relevance before the Almighty luke 1 vs 15. It is the greatest bases for answerable prayers. Jesus advises his followers,” if ye abides in me ye shall ask me whatsoever ye wills and it shall be done unto you that the father might be glorified in the son” John 15. The state of abiding is the state of purity for fruitfulness and this state demands for more and greater universal purity to increase on the output of the fruitfulness,” he purgeth that he may bear more fruits” John 15. Strong requests of great values had been stopped from reaching the throne room because of impurity psalm 66 vs 18. Great exercises of appeals were neglected because of impurity Isaiah 58, great sacrifices like Cain's had not had its fire ascend gracefully because of impurity of heart. The greatest assets to prayer is purity, other sacrifices may be neglected but this attracts the attention of the Almighty. “obedience is better than sacrifice”.

Purity in its true nature does not just create access to God, it changes the person that prays, here, you sense His presence, the glow of His glory, the taste of His power and the texture of His character on the one that is pure. It is a condiment that places Him above others (heb 1 vs 9) in terms of proximity with divine secrets. God lays bare the contents of his secret to him. He places issues before him to deliberate before he acts upon such issues.

When purity is lost, then Satan stands by the side to resist every prayer. Connection with divine secrets are severed, divine power operating through the individual diffused, his glory turns to gory tales, grace turns to gavels, problems multiplies itself , then real praying ceases, to clinch to this height there is need for inward search psalm 139, then a prayer after righteousness, in this atmosphere no lies should be told because every aspect should be under divine probe, it requires total surrender of the will, the mind , the thoughts, sense of values, purpose, interest, our relationship with God and man is scrutinised, its sincerity is placed under divine verification and validation so that he can have an easy and free access through the man to the issues “suddenly the Lord whom ye seek shall come to this temple...He is like the refiners fire and the fullers soap that he may purify the sons of Levi, till they present an acceptable sacrifice as in the days of old malachi 3 :1-4.
