Forgiveness is Obedience

If there is anything that is ravaging us as a church that thing is unforgiveness. There was a time I heard a message from a renowned woman of God, she told the story of a young Christian lady who had been praying and trusting God for the healing of her mother's blindness. After series of prayers there was no change until this lady was opportune to attend a programme where forgiveness was preached. She obeyed God's word by heading to the altar to forgive her mum. The moment she let go of her bitterness the mother was healed instantly of her blindness. This presupposes that God has already answered the prayers but the sin of unforgiveness stopped the miracle from happening.

At this juncture it is important as Christians to know that unforgiveness is one of the greatest weapons the enemy uses in fighting us. Many believers have developed terminal diseases because of unforgiveness. While some have lost their God given vision because of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is a cankerworm please don't be a victim. Forgiveness could be the missing link to your long awaited miracle. The Bible tells us that if we don't forgive others, our heavenly father won't forgive us too (Matthew 6:15).
