UNDERSTANDING THE POWER IN ME
I bring to you peace from our Lord Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our faith.
2 Peter 1:3(AMP): For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).

Power is something alot of people desire in this world. The power of God is something that is of great benefit to all believers who believe in him. God is powerful and we are assured that he is in control of everything we engage in.
The scripture which is our guide has made available endless instances of how the power of God works in us. A typical example was the life of Gideon.
In judges 6:12 (KJV) the Bible says "And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour." And also in verse 16 God replied and said "Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?"
The expression "thy might" in the former verse means that God is saying Gideon, there is a might in you so powerful it can save Israel.
That might is the power of God in Gideon's life. Even when he sees himself as powerless and a coward, God proclaim him a "mighty man of valor" This is is to show how God can use his power through any random person who believers in him.
WAYS TO SEEK AND UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF GOD IN YOU.
gives ears to studying and listening to the word of God. Immerse yourself in God's word because it is very true that you will not be filled with the power of God if you're not filled with the word of God.
Believing the word of God: It is one thing to study and it is another thing to believe in what you're studying. Believe that God intends to do wonderful things for his glory through you because that is what the Bible teaches.
Pray earnestly for the power of God and fast: another important way to see for the power of God is to pray fervently for it. The power of God is given to those who ask from the Father. Praying for the power of God helps us operate in a divine dimension.
Pray for the holy spirit: most times we have denied and resisted the Holy Spirit so often that when he was calling us to bear witness of christ we are notvfit for the flow of his power.
We became so clogged with fear and self-consciousness and doubt and worldly preoccupation and thereby denying ourself from expressing the power in us.
In conclusion, God's power is like pulling the trigger which only the Holy Spirit can do. God is requesting that we should be expectant of his power and Prepare our spirit soul and body as He is ready to pour His spirit upon ud and endue us with power from on high for His glory.
