Christian family : Children responsibility

Raising a good and standard Christian family isn't something that you can't just do easily by your power and strength and apart from that each and everyone in the home has his or her own roles to play in becoming a better Christian and in building a Christain family.
Today we'll be looking at the children in particular.

Children are a gift, a very rare gift which could only be gotten from the creator himself been God. Any other form of creating a human being are all counterfeits and these beings created are worthless.

Bringing up a good and God fearing Christain family has many roles to play as child.

Obidence
I don't really know if I'm the only one that feels and notice this, anytime I'm been sent on an errand by my parents or elders whenever I go without any complains and tight face, I always feel happy, more happier but anytime I refuse to obey, in the few seconds to come I'll start wishing accompanied with regrets for not doing what I was asked to and that totally ruins my day.

Exodus 20 v 12
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

Apart from been happy with myself, there is always a greater reward for been obident as we can see.

Quiet time
As a child of God, we're expected to have enough and adequate time for our maker. Not just actually having time but been useful in the time. Most children do have quite time while only few make use good use of it. Our quite times are only useful when we constantly study and meditate upon the word of God.

Joshua 1 V 8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success

Heavenly minded
I over heard some youths saying

been heavenly minded will result to you been earthly useless.

But come to think of this statement, if I may ask, is it correct?. Well it's clear to me, our Lord Jesus Christ was heavenly minded and if take a clear look at this we'll see that he was also useful on earth to be compared with anyone.
Building a Christain family as a child, has to do away of all earthly things, be it your friends or what so ever. Anything that doesn't helps you in growing in the way of the Lord should be left aside for whatever you associate yourself with will definitely influence you.

Growing up as a child, as a youth doesn't sound as easy you may think, ask does who have been there and they'll tell you but none has overcomed all these challenges with his or her strength. So I urge you brothers and sisters in the Lord, to trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey.
