Growth Is A Necessity
Growth is a very vital phenomenon in a man's life. It is an integral part of every man's life. So it is of necessity that we grow in every aspect of our life. Every man should aspire and desire to always move from one level to another. A man that does not grow both spiritually and in physical things is a stagnant man. Growth signifies increase and advancement.
Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Why You Should Grow As A Child of God
- Because You Are Planted By God: One of the most important reason every man should aspire to grow in life, either in respect to kowledge or spiritual growth is because you are perfectly planted by God. Jesus grew in wisdom and in statute because He was planted by God. There are certain things you will not know in God unless you grow to reach a certain realm spiritually. Any man that refuses to grow automatically terminates God's plans in his life. So, we see that we have reasons to grow.
- Because We Have A Call To Answer: We all have a purpose we must fulfill in life. If you do not grow in knowledge and wisdom, you may not be able to achieve that purpose. A child will never be handed the responsibilty of the adult. So, if you must take up great responsibilities in God then you must grow.
Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

It is worthy of note that growing is a process; growth does not just come abruptly, it takes time and it needs time. So, if you desire to grow, take yourself through a series of training and activities that will activate growth in your life. Devote your time to the studying of God's word. Through studying His word, you will get to know Him more and more. Grow in Him!!
