Everything that is corrupt is corrupt. When we talk about corruption, we think about politics, but corruption goes far beyond political life, because before being a politician the person is an ordinary citizen and as citizens we often let ourselves be corrupted.
From a row that is cut, the purchase of pirated products up to a tax sonegado are forms of corruption.

Some aspects of the corruption that the Scriptures guide us, from three levels: society in general, commerce and politics:
1- Corruption in society:
Micah 7.2,3 "the godly man has perished from the earth, and not from among the men who are righteous, they all assemble for blood, each hunts his brother with a net, his hands diligently do evil, the prince demands condemnation, the judge accepts bribes, and the great speaks of the corruption of his soul, and thus all of them are disturbing. "
Capitalist society often values money more than people. This utilitarian thinking opens gaps for corrupt actions such as:
a) BRIBE: Exodus 23.8 "Do not apply any bribe either, because the bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous."
Bribery is an exchange of paid favors when "bad blows bribe in secret, to overthrow the ways of righteousness" (Proverbs 17:23). But the Word of God condemns bribery, because "woe to ... just the wicked for reward, and just deny justice" (Isaiah 5.22,23).
b) the class: Luke 3, 12-13 "The publicans also came to be baptized, and he said to him, Master, what shall we do?" He said to them, "Do not demand more than what is commanded." The tip is a value to the part received by the person, but that Jesus condemned saying that it should not be done.
Corruption is present in society, because many people practice bribes buying the silence of another person, believing that they can pay to stay safe. Others already live on the tip called, selling their services and receiving illicit money.
Some examples of corruption in society are: when a person steals the Wi-Fi signal, hits the school test, buys pirate products, steals the cable television company, makes cat to steal electricity, tries to bribe the guardian so as not to carry a fine, drill a row, etc.

2- corruption in commerce:
Micah 6:11 "Can I absolve the false scales, with a bag of deceptive weights?"
Corruption is present in commerce, which seeks profit at any price. Some types of commercial corruption are:
a) Unfair prices Proverbs 11.1 "A false weight is an abomination to Jehovah, but full weight is his delight." The deceptive balance is when it shows the wrong weight to deliver less product to the consumer and with that, to make it pay more for less. The devil is a thief and steals, but "the weight and balance are just from the Lord, all the weights of the bag are his work" (Proverbs 16:11). When a person overvalues a product, he is committing corruption.
b) TWO TWO PESOS AND MEASURES: Dt 25,13-16 "You will not have two pesos in the bag, one large and one small, you will not have two measurements in your house, a large one a small one, you will only have exact and fair weights, and exact and just measurements, so that your days may be prolonged in the land that the Lord your God gives you, for the Lord your God abhors anyone who practices such injustice. "The two pesos and two measures serve to sell to a lesser extent and buying, demanding a greater amount, that is, when the person is going to buy something, he wants to pay less than what he is worth and when he is going to sell he requires an abusive price, there are also those who charge according to the client, he seems to be one more person rich, they charge more.
Commercial corruption reaches a point where people disassociate money from sin, believing that being paid, then can do everything. But God is sad and does not want us to sell because he bought us for Christ (I Corinthians 06:20).
Some examples of corruption in the trade are: do not give invoice, do not pay taxes, do not declare Income Tax, give or accept wrong change, super-grade snack note to receive the boss's money, hit the point to the partner, etc.

3- corruption in politics:
Dt 16,19-20 "Do not pervert justice, or partiality, you will not take bribes, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous." Follows justice, and only justice, so that you live and You possess the land that the Lord your God gives you.
Finally, corruption also comes to politics. The word comes from the politicians Greek polyticos, what means citizen of polygons, that is the city.
So we are all politicians, when we exercise our citizenship.
Two forms of corruption in politics are:
a) Unjust laws: Psalms 82.2-5ª "How long are you going to defend the unjust and take sides with the wicked?" Defend the cause of the weak and orphan, protect the rights of the poor and the oppressed. He takes them out of the hands of the wicked.
They do not know anything, and nothing they understand. Walking in the dark. "Unfortunately, many people when they arrive at a position or public function, end up corrupting and using resources for personal benefit and legislating in their own cause.
b) POLITICAL UNJUSTICE: Isaiah 10.1,2 "Woe to those who decree unjust laws, and to writers who write in iniquity, to deprive the poor of righteousness, and to snatch the right of the poor from my people, robbing widows and steal the orphans. " We need to know what people do when they come to power and fight against injustice. "Your princes are rebellious, companions of thieves, every one of them loves a bribe, and runs after gifts, they do not do justice to the orphan, nor do the cause of the widow come to them" (Isaiah 1:23). If a politician does not defend the rights of the people, he is not fulfilling his role.
Politicians are very involved with corruption due to the corrupt system that was established in the environment in which they operate. In addition, people already see a corrupt society and a business where corruption is responsible for the pursuit of profit at any price.
Some examples of corruption in politics are: when the legislator creates a law to benefit a sector in exchange for political support, the overcoming of works, the collection of services that should be free, etc.

Do not let yourself be corrupted!
Matthew 6:20 "lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not steal."
God sees everything that is done in secret (Proverbs 15.3) and one day all corruption will be unmasked (Mark 4:22). We have to change the mundane values that teach the principles of the Gospel to create a new mind (Romans 12.1,2). As Christians we must give an example of a different and honest life (I Peter 3,2).
The world can only be changed if the human being is transformed. Only the "new man" (Ephesians 4:24), restored the image and likeness of the Creator, can overcome corruption.

Corruption has been imposed on the world, however, good Christians fight against it, acting honestly.
It is unfortunate that, corruption always distorts and devastates good habits and customs, making them immoral or anti-ethical. The Just Judge will weigh in the balance all work, whether good or bad.

When we skip the line, if we want to get a document we pay because we do not want to wait, all this is unintentionally being transmitted to our children, they see our bad behavior and copy our actions, so we must teach honesty first of all, even though others Do it, we must explain why it should not be done, what are the consequences of being corrupt. We must teach him what Matthew 6:20 tells us: "Keep treasures in heaven for you, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not steal."

Corruption always leads to destruction,we as Christians needs to refrain from such an act in order not to abase our image we have before God and the society.
