As you look?
This object allows us to appreciate a bit as we see ourselves, but it does not show us who we are. Who really shows us who we are is our beloved heavenly father: "And the Lord said to Samuel," Do not look at his appearance, or at the height of his stature, for I am discarding him; for Jehovah does not see what man sees. "(1 Samuel 16: 7a) NKJ 1960.
It is not a secret that many have received ridicule, rejection, contempt and many times we have felt underestimated by others. I am a living testimony of that. I want you to take notes of the three ways that God does not see.
1.- God sees us with love (1 Samuel 16: 7b) NKJV 1960 "For man looks at what is before his eyes, but the Lord looks at the heart."
Love is in our heart, because He dwells there. God knows that the most valuable thing in our life is in our heart, in our interior, that is why he also says in his word in Matthew 6:21 where your treasure is, there your heart will be.
2.- God looks at us as kings (1 Peter 2: 9 NKJV)
¨More of you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired by God, so that you may proclaim the virtues of him who called you out of darkness into his admirable light. ¨
To reflect this and others can appreciate, behave as such, do not stoop, but treat others in the same way as our King of Kings treats us: With love.
3.- God looks at us as his children (Romans 8:16) NKJ 1960 "The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are children of God"
It is not anyone who reminds us of who we are and how our father sees us, it is the Holy Spirit. He is attentive to how he falls in love every day.
It is time to change our perspective and look at ourselves as God sees us, not as the world wants us to see each other in order to be accepted, God loves you and accepts you as you are because He created you.
Our identity in Christ is the most powerful weapon we have, we are not what people say, we are what God says.
