cassava is one of the most useful food tubers in nigeria., this is because it is processed into another form that most Nigerians enjoy. It is called garri, it is a very thick paste that is either rolled into balls.

Saving lives and bringing more souls to the kingdom is what we do.
And this brings a savoury smell to the presence of our God.
kudos Sirknight you are doing a good job sire!!!
I am part of this movement to feed people forever! I pledge my allegiance o great knight!!

In Lagos, Mar 1, 2004 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- A non-governmental organization Food Aid International (FAI) had said that about 3,000 people die daily of hunger and poverty in Nigeria, Africa's most populous country,so sad, local newspaper The Punch reported that the survey conducted by the FAI as saying that out of the country's estimated population of 130 million, nearly 14 million always go hungry daily, with half of them being underfed.
While that presenting the result at a three-day symposium on Sustainable Rural Poverty Reduction and Food Security in Benin at the weekend, the FAI said that poverty and lack of food were responsible for the high death toll among HIV/AIDS victims in the country-Nigeria.

It added that some victims lacked enough food to eat while on their drugs and medications.

Statistics also showed that 10 percent of the 40 million people infected by AIDS worldwide were Nigerians, making the country the second largest HIV/AIDS prevalence in Africa after South Africa or fourth in global prevalence. Wow

The body said that the twin problems were most tragic when it was really obvious that women and children, mostly in the rural area, were the hardest hit.

It blamed the federal government for not creating better economic environment for poverty reduction in the country. And provision of meals.

We parishioners are contributing immensely to Gods work by trying to alleviate hunger.
That is why i said we are giving God a load of sweet offering that is acceptable in his sight.
At this juncture I'd also love to thank a great leader who has made it a possibility for us to be able to do what we do(i.e: talk about God's word).

A special thanks to the great Knight, i really appreciate you sire. You are living a life worthy of modeling after.
And a special thanks to all parishioners here keep it up.
steeemchurch is growing bigger
we'll soon be having a site.

Now, I'd love to talk a little extra from the Bible.

  • ** THE IMPORTANCE OF GIVING GOD AN ACCEPTABLE OFFERING!!!*

In our Bible we saw the error of the children of Israel under the judges. For that generation, they used God as you would a spare tyre.
He was remembered only when there was a crisis.
Israel in the days of Malachi the prophet had a different problem, and it had to do with the offerings they gave to God. As our text shows, they were in the habit of bringing for the worship of God the blind, the lame, and the sick among their flocks.

Those were animals without commercial value, as it were. They kept the best of the animals for their use and brought the worst for God. God called that evil.
This evil was noticed in the first offering recorded. The Bible tells us that

"Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord"
(Genesis 4:3).

That was casual, sounding so ordinary. Compare that to how that of his brother was described.

" Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of the fat thereof.... "
(Genesis 4:4).

The result was that God accepted the offering of Abel and rejected that of Cain.
No sane person would give a lame animal as a gift to an earthly ruler.
This was the point God brought to the notice of the people. If they would not dare that with a human being, how could they conceive that regarding God? Two things should serve as guidelines when we offer to the Lord. God must have precedence, and the best must be his. Anything other than this is misplaced priority.

There are ways with which we can honour God.
1. Honor God with your talents
– These are your God-given gifts and abilities. Read Matthew 25:14-30 to be morr clear.
this is something steeemchurch also gives us the opportunity to do.
showcase and honor God with our talents.
By engaging in logo designs submussions and website designs for the church we are honoring God.

2.Honor God with your treasure
– This means your finances. As Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21).Also read Proverbs 3:9 and Malachi 3:10
this is something the greag Sir Knight is achieving.
constantly using his hard earned treasure to help lives and contribute to the world around him.
i must say-kudos sir.

3. Begin to honor God by fear and reverence:
this includes fear of displeasing Him you know, Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him., from a psalmist of Israel (Psalm 33:8).

Thank you all for reading.

Sort:

Having to honour God is something we all have to crave for as believers. It is definitely a step in the right direction even owing to the fact that it has become really difficult loking at the way the world is today! BTW..Could you debrief me... what is sniff and curry?

Sniff n scurry are the new great mice on steeemchurch
