If you are a true follower of Christ, you are a priest and Jesus is the High Priest. The duty of the priest is to represent people to God. It is our prayer that makes a difference in this world. God does not answer the prayer of the lost or of those outside of Christ. The one prayer He will answer for them is the prayer of repentance and request for forgiveness of sin based on the merits of the blood sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

You and I have the responsibility and privilege to make a difference in our world through prayer. God moves on the believer and empowers our prayers. This prayer is powerful and effective. It will accomplish a great deal because we pray to our God Who can do absolutely anything. All things are possible when we pray. We must pray!

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Jas 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
Jas 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

The Church is the standard raised up when the enemy attacks. This spiritual enemy requires a spiritual army.

Praying always in line with the will of God

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
