Prophecy That the Messiah Would be Rejected

Jesus did have many Jewish followers and many today recognize Him as their Messiah, but the larger number rejected Him at the time of His earthly ministry and today many reject Jesus in spite of the many biblical proofs, fulfillment of Messianic Prophecies. Even the purpose of this series is to show He is the Messiah, Christ or the Anointed One. He was rejected and has become the Chief Cornerstone, Lord of all!

The Words of Jesus

Mat 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

New Testament Fulfillment

Act 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

JESUS THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE

Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Jesus Rejected of men, the very people looking for the coming Messiah missed the day of their visitation. The Light of the World standing right in front of them and remaining in complete darkness. Jesus has all power! He is the Head of the Church! He is God’s only plan of salvation. He has truly become the Capstone and it is marvelous in our eyes!
