I realize this is a variation of another post on the Name “Captain of the Host”. Many of these Names or Titles of the same God will have similarities referring to His Power, Him being Eternal and being the only God.

Also something notable in this text verse. Many prophecies have a dual fulfillment. One that is fulfilled during the time of the prophecy as is with this verse and the promise about the temple. But this is a Messianic prophecy and rhe “Branch refers to the Messiah to come.

Zec 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
