Obedience that fructifies
Remember that ten years before, Abram believed that God would provide him with a son, Sarai, at the age of 75, had exhausted his faith, and now Abram also faltered, having to wait fifteen more years, they conceived their own plan, that the NT identifies as a birth "according to the flesh" (GL4.23)
Sara was originally called "sarai", which means "princess", when God changed her name to "sara", she called her "the princess or queen", making her a partner in the role that belonged to her husband Abraham (who previously his name was Abram), the "father of many people"; and so he included it in his covenant promises
Sara, Abraham's beautiful wife was sterile, which in the ancient world was considered a curse, she is an example of faith that goes beyond limitations..........
Sara is also an illustration of how dangerous it can be to take the promises of God in our own hands
The suggestion that taking into account her sterility, Abraham will take his servant as wife, resulted in the birth of Ishmael, a boy who caused jealousy and conflict between the two women, later between the two children and to this day among their descendants
