I Thessalonian 5:5 (NIV) says You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to night or to the darkness."

As children of Light, we belong to Jesus who is the light of the world we supposed to be following his footsteps, we must not copy the people of the world 1John 2:15-17 'love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he doeth the will of God abideth forever (1 John 2:15-17). Thus we should live our live according to our calling.

The second coming of christ will be a great surprise to many people. Christ's coming will be terrible to the ungodly but happy day to the righteous. The scripture made us to know that walking as children of the light is the manifestqtion of what we are, therefore, we must aim at living a life which shows natural fruits of the light as seen in all goodness, righteousness and truth.

We are walk as children of light in thus dark world, thus exposing the deeds of darkness. Darkness symbolize satan's evil domain and the sinful deeds of those who do not obey God. It also represents the spiritual ignorance of those whose sin has blinded their eyes from the light of God's truth (Eph 4:18,2 cor4:4). Light pictures the knowledge of the truth of God that shines into our hearts.

1 we will be of good behaviour
2 we will be righteous
3 we will be people of truth.
