STEEMCHURCH - THREE GREAT STAGES IN THE CHRISTIAN'S LIFE

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Are you living as a child of God, these stages; or are you incomplete?

Paul emphasizes three things he wants to highlight in the lives of those who have really been reached by Christ:

In the reading that includes from verse 1, to ten; the central idea that revolves around these verses is found in number three, and they represent an example, an exhortation and a real challenge, to fulfill our great task, and our permanence on earth.

There are three major stages that should involve our Christian life:

Conversion, Service and Constancy in the expectation of Christ.

I.- What was the work of the Thessalonians' faith?

It was his conversion, it was his repentance, that change of life, of conduct, of attitude and obedience by faith in him who one day promised to return for his family.

out of all religiosity, of all idolatry and all vainglory, experiencing a true change of life and showing it with their deeds.

Because the world has its own religion, has its beliefs and has its own arguments through which they defend their "faith". They claim to be Christians, and yet they do not leave their sinful practices like idolatry, deceit, lying, hatred even among the same families, defame and destroy each other without reflecting if that is pleasing before God.

That is not being a Christian, to be a Christian, to be a follower of Christ, is to live a true change of life, because the Word of God says that if anyone is in Christ, a new creature is, the believer in Christ is going to to leave behind that sinful life that characterized him before, to give way to a new life filled with the love of Christ and that will identify him from others.

Titus 2:12 says: "Teaching us that, renouncing ungodliness and worldly desires, let us live in this world soberly, justly and godly."

II.- Of the work of your love.

While we wait: God wants us to do it by serving Him ...

As children of God, our duty is to live serving ... the question is ... Who are you serving? Are you really involved in the service of God?

Because to serve the living and true God means to work in his work, to fully engage in the ministry for which God has called him, according to Ephesians 4:11 it says: "And he himself constituted some, apostles; to others, prophets; to others, evangelists; to others, pastors and teachers. "

But regardless of this, Christ gives the great commend to all Christians: "Go, preach and make disciples" (Matthew 28:19).

If I am converted, if I have truly repented of my sins and want to follow Christ, step two is to get involved in the service of God, and to evangelize and bear much fruit. And for that fruit to remain, I must also disciple.

What is it to be a disciple? Person who receives the teachings of a teacher.

Who is our Teacher? Christ.

We can not put pretexts that we do not know how to disciple a new convert, because for that we have the Holy Scriptures, and that is why we come together as a church to learn to discern spiritually the Blessed Word of God.

But ... How can you be a good teacher? How will you teach to live what is being learned?

For your teaching to have a real effect, and to have an impact on the learner; You have to be a true example.

You have to show with your lifestyle, that in reality you are at the same time a good disciple of Christ, because you live according to Him.

To serve God full of joy, and satisfaction, and best of all, is that it has its great rewards in this land and even Beyond: in heaven.

III.- The constancy in the waiting of our Mr. Jesus Christ.

How do we prepare the reception of a great Personality?

With emotion, with dynamism, with joy, with hope.

And the Christian besides all these; he has the certainty and the conviction that his wait is true. Because with patience we await the advent of the one who bought us one day with his precious blood and who rescued us from the flames of hell.

The constancy that should characterize the Christian, is manifested in daily preparation in holiness, for the glorious encounter with Christ, crucifying the flesh, with their passions and desires, waiting patiently, and persevering in their faith.

Always ready, always ready, making arrangements and preparations for the big day, and much more as we see that day is approaching, because only the sound of the final trumpet is missing.

MEDITATE IN THIS WORD

How will Christ find you? Prepared? Ashamed?

Dear brothers and sisters If you are not ready for the encounter with your Lord, it is time for you to prepare, to make a decision for Christ today. And that today there is still hope, take your armor, and decide to serve Christ for the remaining time of life, there are many souls on the way to hell, and the church of Christ still remains passive. Do not wait any longer and let's go and carry the message of salvation. Remember that God makes us responsible for those of us who have the opportunity to take the gospel to them and we do not, and if one day they die without Christ, you and I will be guilty.

God bless you!!!

Conversion is a fundamental requirement of the preaching of Jesus and of the first Christian catechesis. Saint Paul develops a rich theology on conversion, although in his writings only the biblical terms that usually express that idea appear on rare occasions. Through an original theological grammar -ric in images and marked by his personal experience on the road to Damascus-, the Apostle shows how conversion constitutes the permanent structure of Christian existence, a Trinitarian gift initiated in baptism that is also a permanent and vital task of the baptized
