God commanded Jonah to go to Nineveh, but this order upset the prophet, who decided to go elsewhere. In the harbor he found a ship that left for Tarsis. Everything seemed favorable, but Jonah ... was disobeying God!
The apostle Paul was on his way to Rome. The stormy weather made the trip difficult, and Paul warned the sailors, on behalf of God, that it was dangerous to continue. But a soft south wind began to blow. Everything seemed to be going well, and the sailors, ignoring the warning, raised anchors. Soon a great storm arose, giving reason to Paul. And they were shipwrecked (Acts 27).
There are circumstances that seem favorable to a certain project, but that eventually lead to a path that God disapproves. And this manifests itself more when you do not have faith! The betrayal of Judas is a solemn example: he found the right moment and handed over his Master (Luke 22: 6, Mark 14:11).
God can use circumstances to lead his people. But first of all he shows us his will through his Word. If the events that are presented to us are a risk to take us in a way contrary to the Word of God, let us be careful! God never contradicts himself. But Satan knows how to take advantage of different situations to drag us to disobey. He will know how to convince a young believer, for example, to marry an unbelieving young woman, when God clearly teaches us otherwise. What does the Word of God say? "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14).

I believe that we must take care of the things we want to do and put them in the hands of God for their proper direction, because the things that God does not approve can cause many problems in our lives.
