The Fear of the Lord

There is, however, something you must possess in order freely enjoy the operations of the Spirit of revelation. It is called the fear of the Lord. The Bible reveals how important this is in our quest for revelation:

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

• Psalm 25:14
  God reveals His covenant or word only to them that fear Him. Every man in Biblical history who ever did exploit possessed this component of the fear of the Lord. The Bible quotes Joseph, a man discreet and wise, who through his wisdom saved Egypt in the time of famine, as saying •For I fear God" (Gen. 42: IS). Job, a man described as the greatest of all men of the East, was acknowledged by Satan as possessing one outstanding quality: the fear of the Lord. Satan asked God, "Doth lob tear God for (Job 1:9).

A close study of the seven Spints of God listed in Isaiah 11:2 reveal that at the root or foundation is the spirit of fear of the Lord. It is at the bottom rung of the ladder, and just as every ladder is climbed from the bottom up, so climb into the fullness of the seven Spirits of God from spirit of the fear of the Lord.

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; (Isaiah 11:2).

The spirit of the fear of the Lord is what gives birth to the spirit of knowledge: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge... ( Proverbs 1:7 ).

Knowledge then brings you into might, which is inner strength. "A man of knowledge increaseth strength" (Prov. 24:5). From might you graduate to counsel, to understanding, and then to wisdom, which culminates in the manifestation of power The spirit of the fear of the Lord is what Apostle Paul refers to as the spirit of holiness.

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (Romans 1:4).

Jesus was declared to be the Son of God with power, because the spirit of holiness was at work in Him. He was tempted at all points, yet was without sin; so He qualified to be anointed without measure. No wonder He knew and did the will of the Father always.

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.(John 5:19).

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30).

...I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me I speak these things.
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. (John 8:28.29 ).

The spirit of the fear of the Lord will grant you access into revelations, so you can walk in victory and do exploits in life. When you walk and live in the fear of the Lord, you are guaranteed automatic exploits, because you not only enjoy revelations, but also carry God's presence, which commands exploits — the sea gives way to Him, Jordan is driven back from Him, and the mountains skip like rams before Him (Ps. 114).

When you walk in the fear of the Lord, you become a friend of God and you have access to all things that the Father has shown Jesus. When this happens, you will begin to operate at the level Jesus operated in, and you will do the kind of exploits He did when He was on earth, and even greater (Jn. 14:12).
