Faith is Obedience and Obedience is Faith
Hello steemians, Faith is very essential for the profit of ever child of God..
Hebrews 4: 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.(kjv)
The Bible also tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God(Hebrews 11:6). Faith, therefore must be a very important asset for the Christian.. Over the years messages of faith have taken very diverse forms. Many Christians are confused in relation to this subject.
Today we will look at obedience and faith in a discussion I've entitled "Faith is Obedience and obedience is Faith"
-1)Deuteronomy 9: 22 And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath. 23 Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
In this scripture we see the lord being provoked because some people had rebelled.
Notice the part that said "and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice".. Their disobedience was taken by God and disbelief in Him.
-2)In "1 peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, ..." we see something similar. It's as if the opposite of believing is disobedience..
-3) Abraham's faith was seen through obedience.. Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.(kjv)
-4) faith (belief) in the gospel of salvation is obedience to this word.
"he that believes ...shall be saved.. Mark 16:15,16".. How would we believe this gospel?? By obeying what it says!!
1peter 4: 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?(kjv)
"the gospel is obeyed"
Today I want us to think About these points and ask ourselves questions.. Do we actually believe in God?? Are we obedient to his word to us??
I'll end with this scripture :-
Zephaniah 3:2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God. (kjv)

Indeed Our obedience to God is truly and indication of our faith in him
Obedience is the result of having faith and we have faith when we hear and read the word of the Lord.
To obey is to please God, but we must do it from the heart, through this being saved.
