On Sunday, August 5th, there was a very exciting activity for me and the apostolate group, Cursillo Movement of Christianity; in which we could share a total of 259 plates of food , (rice soup) later I tell you the procedure for the preparation of it.
In a previous post I mentioned an activity called the Solidarity Pot, which takes place in the Parish in which I attend.
With the help first of God, of our beloved and always willing parish priest generous people who also contribute, we managed to raise the following:
12 kilos of rice.
2 kilos of potato.
2 kilos of carrot.
2 kilos of celery.
2 kilos of pumpkin.
dressings: onion, pepper sweet, cilantro aji.
Seasoning: marinade to taste.
Species: oregano to taste.
1 kilo of salt.
On Saturday we met and cut into small pieces the vegetables and dressings , Sunday early in the morning.
He began to cook the meat, then the vegetables are added with the exception of the pump that is placed later, because it softens faster, then the raw rice and are incorporated.
Finally the pumpkin , spices and condiments are added, the pot is covered, it is left to wait for the diners.
At 11:30 AM, people go to eat; those who are in disposition enter the Chapel and hear the word of God, which is in charge of some Minister of the Eucharist, many people in addition to body hunger, are hungry for the word of God and it is our responsibility as Christians in addition to execute the corporal works of Mercy, also allows them to know the wonderful works of God through the sacred writings.
Later they go to withdraw their food.
It is an activity that really motivates you and leaves you great satisfaction, because with a small grain of sand you put aids to others.
