KNOWING GOD'S WILL IN MARRIAGE

Proverbs 18:22

In the creation of God, after He created all things man would need for survival,then He formed man from the dust(Genesis 2:7). After He made man (Adam),he put him in charge of everything in the garden of Eden and gave him authority over all things He had created. God saw the workload was much on Adam and concluded that he need a partner, someone he can talk to and be his helpmeet,so God brought a woman out of his own rib and breathed into the woman and she became a flesh and Adam was so happy with this and said, "And Adam said,This is now bone of my bones,and flesh of my flesh:she shall be called Woman,because she was taken out of Man." (Gen 2:23)

What is marriage? This is the union of a man and woman coming together as husband and wife,both of them come to an agreement of living together forever. Marriage is an institution where learning takes over till death separate them. God ordained marriage from heaven,if not,He wouldn't have gave Adam a partner. Marriage is something you plan,decide and ready for it. You cannot just wake up one day and say you want to get married,it takes process and it is very important you know God's will for your life so you won't marry someone who isn't yours.
Many marriages have capsized all because they never understand each other,they aren't meant for each other and some even go into it by influence of people i.e friends, relatives, etc. Taking time to know God's will for you is better than entering into a marriage that will never guarantee happiness for you.

Marriage was a creation of God,it started from Him(bringing Adam and Eve together). God will not come down to live with you in your home but will only guide you if only you allow Him to. You cannot know His will for your life without you having a deep relationship with Him. By involving in a relationship with God will make Him reveal your God given partner to you and will forever enjoy each other in your homes.

Psalm 119:105
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,and a light unto my path"
When you have a close relationship with God,He will direct and guide your path so you won't choose wrongly,you must not live your life in fear but live in close fellowship with your maker(God)

How do you know His will in marriage for you?

As we all know that God does not want His children to mingle with the unbelievers or have any relationship with them because light and darkness cannot be friends, else there will be misunderstanding every minutes,day,second and hours,there won't be peace in such home.
1 Corinthians 6:15-17
"Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ,and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two,saith he,shall be one flesh
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit."

How then can you know God's will for you?

1. By reading the word of God. When you meditate on the word of God and have a close relationship with Him,He will reveal things you need to know and the right person for your life so that you will not end up marrying with an unbeliever who will obstruct God's perfection in you

2. You must be sensitive,paying attention to doors He opens and closes to direct your path because God will work in you to do His will. He will use some challenges and situations to perfect His will for your life.
   Romans 8:28
   "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,to them who are the called according to His purpose"

3. To know His will for your life,you must go through the counsel of elders or spiritual heads in church, these people are ordained by God to direct your path, so when you go to them,they direct you in the right way and tell you what to do.

But take note of passion for sex because it can hinder God of revealing the right partner for you. Also by praying,reading His word, worshipping God,fellowship with God can make you to be sensitive spiritually, including the right environment of good spiritual nourishment. As a child of God,make His word your word and pray to God to direct your path.
