Greetings to all Parishioners of Steemchurch, we give all the praise to our maker for raising us peacefully from our bed and seeing this brightest Monday morning.

This morning our devotion is about God as the Giver of All Perfect Gifts.

Our Scripture Reading is taken from the Book of Games 1:17 KJV,...and I read:

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

When I was at my tender age, I wondered why my parents or my elders would say that: "whatever situation you experience you have to thank God, whether good or bad because it is God who gives and who takes." So I would be contemplating in my mind that why should one thank someone for bad happening? It seemed to me not logic. Not knowing that, every perfect gift is from God. May be whatever He takes will multiply itself in many times, or He uses bad one to replace you with good one.

Not everything Mankind gives us is for good. And of course not everything we want is good. But the situation of God is different. As Christ reminded us, loving parents will do not give their children a stone rather than bread, a snake instead of a fish. And God is far more loving than our earthly parents(Matt. 7:9-11).

This does not mean that God's children can expect good things without encountering any pains occurrence or stress life. James tells us not only that every good gift comes from our heavenly Father(James 1:17), but also that we are to "calculate it all joy" when we "face temptations." The testing of our "faith produces patience," and the work of patience makes us perfect and complete.

Even when we receive something that does not seem good, we can be grateful because we know there is more to it than we can see. What seems like imperfect gift may be the means by which God perfects us. Amen!

The act of given is depicted through the act of Love, for GOD loves the world that He gave us his only son. As Christians we need to have love to emulate this divine character of God.

God's gift to His children is everlasting unlike the devil who gives you one and steal ten from you. We should strive to wait upon the Lord because in His time He makes everything beautiful

The issue of God's sovereignty over the universe is something that can never be understood. It's better to focus on the love of Christ and remember the sacrifice God has made for us.

Thanks all for your upvotes, comments and resteemed

God is the giver of all lives and through his love we are saved.
