KEEP FOCUS WHEN GOD'S DIVINE MINISTRATION IS ON COURSE!

ACTS 20:7-12KJV

"And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted."

God's word has authority over all lives, it is good for shaping our lives, inspiring, guiding our ways and teaching us how we should leave our lives. The word seeks all mankind to live in righteousness and honour God with respect.
That is why the book of Hebrews revealed how the word is:

HEBREWS 4:11-12KJV

"Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

This is what the Bible says, and most Christians have tested its effectiveness and its truth.

But we have come to learn from people's behaviour that, people joke with God's word whenever God's preaching or ministration is on course.

Most people do not attach much importance to God's message, and this is mostly found in most Christians when they are in churches or places where God's messages are delivered.

For the Bible says :"God's word is foolish for those who do not want to listen."

So, you will see those people putting up all sort of behaviours that are against the rules and adoration of God.

Such behaviours are sleeping in church, eating or chewing gum, making calls and receiving mobile phone calls.

Walking and making noise whiles preaching is on course.

These are some and many more things that we do to make God become angry.

God wants us to be humble and silent when we come before him, so that we can absorb everything that his servant delivers to us. Such behaviours as mentioned already let God to depart from us, and on more serious note it incurs His wrath on us.

In the Acts of Apostles, we saw that when Paul was preaching God's word to the people, Eutychus was seriously asleep at this tall story building, unconcerned. As the Bible says, "where two or more people meet in my name, I am their midst." So that day God was present when disciple met to preach His word. And lo and behold, they saw Eutychus asleep, and unfortunately for him, he fell from the story building. I do not think if Eutychus has been very attentive listening to the word of God, he could fall down.

That is what many of us live our lives; we are like Eutychus and if we do not take care one day we will also fall from a story building, if not a story building, it might be something else. For many of us have inculcated and adopted so many fashions in the presence God. We dress indecently to chaple,and do all kinds of things which is contrary to the rules of God service. What is even more that in this modern era eating into the marrow of many of us is, the bad usage of mobile phones in most of churches.

Though the use of mobile phone in churches is not prohibited, but the timing of using it! Most of us would be busily typing whiles preaching would be going on. Most people too do not put their phones on silent when they are in churches. Others too would be making calls on top of their voice whiles preaching would be on course.

All these behaviours destruct God's word to His people, therefore we must be careful that anything that we do with our body, heart or mind is subject to judgement-whether good or bad. Imagine if that thing is bad, it means there is no way that we can enter the Kingdom of heaven. We also remember that in the olden days most people who disrespected God and His messages received instant Judgement,but as far as Christ has come to intervene and interceeded for us to have "the grace" does not mean that we can fool before God. What ever we say or do with our body, we should not forget that there is judgement awaiting us.

Sometimes we lose God's glory, grace and favour because of our own carelessness. If we play or joke with God's work we will die eternal death. Since we do not want that to happen, then lets all put some seriousness in the course of worshipping God.
