Yesterday, I began a topic series on the preparation to life journey tagged "Preparing The Ground | Intellectual & Spiritual Preparation". I did talk about the fact that success is never accidental and how to prepare physically. Today, we shall now look at how to prepare intellectually as well as Spiritually.

Intellectual Preparation

This can be attributed to knowledge. It is a level of human development of the brain or intellect as a result of the knowledge acquired either through books, resources channels, personal experiences or other learning materials and forms a part of our intellectual build up.

Jotham's greatness, to a large extent could also be attributed to his mental exploits; to fight and win wars is a result of great mental activity. He put a lot of time into planning and preparation which was why he became successful.

Jotham waged war against the king of the Ammonites and conquered them. That year the Ammonites paid him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand cors of wheat and ten thousand cors of barley. The Ammonites brought him the same amount also in the second and third years.

Spiritual Preparation

Jotham prepared his ways before the Lord his God, talks about his walk with God, he did what was right before God, and he sought God.

2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah had done, but unlike him he did not enter the temple of the Lord. The people, however, continued their corrupt practices.

His greatness can only be attributed to God being His backbone, he sought God like Uzziah his father did and that was the secret of his greatness.

5 And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.

No man can become great outside God, because greatness is about knowing what God has called you to do and doing it. Jotham's spiritual preparation was the deciding factor of his attainment of success.

You need to see in the realm of the spirit before there can be a physical manifestation. And then you need to get pregnant. And then you need to get pregnant. You need to get pregnant with what you want to see and then give birth to it at the set time. What do you see?. If you have not seen anything, then God is not bond to deliver.

There must be an expectation, and there must be an agreement between what you see and what God sees.The case of Jeremiah is a good example, although the scripture says that the vision is for an appointed time, you need to see the vision first before it can ever come to pass. Whan God called Jeremiah into the office of a prophet, He wanted to be sure that Jeremiah saw correctly the vision of himself as it ought to be.

Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me saying, what seest thou? And I Said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

Jeremiah 1 vs 11.

Jeremiah saw somthing and God said he saw well.

then said the Lord unto me, thou has well seen, for I will hasten my word to perform it.

Jeremiah 1 vs 12.
