I Don't Accept Anything Other than Biblical Miracles.

Hello. This is Pastor Shin from Christian Spirituality Academy.

성경은 기적으로 시작해서 기적으로 끝나는 책입니다.
The Bible is a book about miracles; it begins and ends with miracles.

그래서 예수님을 믿지 않는 세상 사람들은 성경책을 가리켜 사람들이 만든 신화라고 얘기하기도 하죠.
So some people call the Bible a collection of myths, just like the Greek and Roman mythology we learn in literature classes.

만약 그들이 성경에서 나온 기적들은 두 눈으로 목격했다면 이런 얘기가 쑥 들어갔을 겁니다.
I'm sure they wouldn't say that if they saw the miracles with their own eyes.

그러나 아쉽게도 지금의 교회에서는 성경의 기적이 재현되지 않습니다.
But unfortunately, churches today don't show any biblical miracles.

그래서 이들의 얘기가 일견 타당성이 있는 것처럼 보이기도 합니다.
So what they claim does make sense, somewhat.

그러나 세상을 지으시고 우주를 운행하시며 대자연을 섭리하시고 역사를 주관하시는 하나님은 예나 지금이나 살아계십니다.
But God is still alive to this day--the creator of this world, the operator, the history itself. He was, is, and will be.

그래서 아브라함의 하나님이자 이삭의 하나님이 나의 하나님이 되시는 것이죠.
And that is why God of Abraham and Isaac is my God.

지금도 살아계셔서 교회를 이끄시고 교인들의 영혼을 천국으로 인도하시는 분이 성경의 하나님이시라면, 그분의 방식은 성경에서의 방식과 현재의 방식과 동일하실 겁니다.
If God today is the same God from the Biblical times, still herding people's souls into Heaven, he would probably work the same way as he has been working for all this time.

그렇다면 성경의 기적이, 왜 우리에게 일어나지 않는 이유는 무엇일까요?
Then why don't these miracles happen in our lives?

우리네 교회는 자신들의 신앙방식으로 성경에 나타난 기적들이 일어나지 않는 이유에 대해 고민하기보다, 자신들의 신앙이 성경에 나타난 내용과 다르지 않다는 변명과 자기 합리화를 하는 쪽으로 입을 맞추기로 했습니다.
Rather than pondering upon why the miracles in the Bible are not happening today, churches today have decided to go along with self-justification, thinking their faith is no different from the faithful people of the Bible.

그래서 성경을 자의적으로 해석하고 왜곡시키기 시작했어요.
So they started interpreting the Bible according to their own taste and preference.

사도행전에 나오는 기적과 이적의 표적은 사도시대에만 특별하게 부여한 사건이라고 말입니다.
They say the signs of the Spirit and all the miraculous things only happened in the time of the apostles.

그러나 성경 어디에도 하나님이 사도들에게만 한시적으로 특별한 영적 능력을 주시겠다는 말씀은 없죠.
But there is nothing in the Bible that says God has promised these spiritual powers only to the people who were given the apostle title.

아니 거꾸로, 하나님은 모든 당신의 자녀에게 동일하게 대하겠다는 원칙을 수도 없이 말씀하고 계십니다.
In contrast, God keeps on saying He will give the same thing to all His children, repeatedly.

그러나 우리네 교회지도자의 해석이 설득력을 갖는 이유는 아무도 성경의 기적을 재현하지 못하고 있기 때문이에요.
But pastors' claims of today seem more reasonable because we don't see miracles like the ones from the Bible.

그렇다면 왜 우리네 교회에서 성경의 기적이 나타나지 않습니까?
Then how come there isn't any miracle happening in churches today?

그 이유를 아는 게 어렵지 않습니다.
It's not too hard to find out why.

성령이 함께 하시지 않기 때문입니다.
It is because Holy Spirit is not with them.

오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라(행1:8)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1: 8)

믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며 뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라 하시더라(막16:17,18)
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16: 17-18)

이르시되 너희 믿음이 작은 까닭이니라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알 만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라(마17:20)
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17: 20)

지금은 성령의 시대입니다.
The modern day is the age of the Spirit.

성령이 누구입니까?
Who is Holy Spirit?

전지전능한 하나님이시죠.
He is God Almighty.

예수님이 승천하시면서, 보혜사 성령께서 오셔서 우리의 믿음을 도와주시고 천국으로 인도하실 거라고 약속하셨습니다.
As Jesus ascended to Heaven, the Holy Spirit came down in his place, to give us faith and to lead us to Heaven.

성령은 제자들에게 놀라운 영적 능력을 퍼부어주어 하나님의 나라를 확장하고 영혼을 구원하는 사역을 진행하고 계세요.
The Holy Spirit gives the followers amazing spiritual power, in order for them to save souls and expand God's kingdom.

그렇다면 사도시대에 역사하셨던 성령과, 자금의 우리네 시대에 계시는 성령은 다른 분이실까요?
So are they different Holy Spirits, the one who were with the apostles and the one who work today?

동일한 분이시라면 사도시대와 똑같은 방식으로 일하실 겁니다.
If they are the same great Holy Spirit, he will work in the same way he did in the past.

그러므로 성령 하나님은 동일하신데 우리네 교회에 초대교회의 역사가 일어나지 않는 이유는, 하나님이 인정하시는 믿음이 없기 때문이며 그들에게 성령이 내주하지 않으셨기 때문입니다.
So the reason why we don't see much miracles today like the ones that happened in early churches is that people today don't have faith God approves; they don't have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them.

예수님은 겨자씨만한 작은 믿음이라도 기적과 이적을 불러일으킨다고 약속하셨습니다.
Jesus said we are able to bring miracles if we have faith, even if it is as small as a mustard seed.

그래서 믿는 자들의 표적으로, 귀신을 쫓아내며 병든 자들에게 치유가 일어날 것이라고 말씀하셨죠.
And he said we will be able to chase demons out and heal sick people, as proofs of our belief.

그게 사도시대에만 말씀하신 내용은 아닐 겁니다.
And I'm sure that doesn't apply only to people who lived in the time of apostles.

왜냐면 예수님은 세상이 없어져도 자신의 말씀은 떨어지지 아니할 것이라고 선포하셨기 때문이죠.
It is because Jesus said his words will not fall, even if this world ends and everything disintegrates.

그렇다면 이렇게 말하는 저는 사도행전에 나타나는 기적을 보여주고 있을까요?
Does that mean I show miracles that were prevalent in the time of apostles?

사실 이렇게 말하는 저도 곤혹스럽기는 마찬가지입니다.
To tell you the truth, it is hard for me to talk about this as well.

제 영성학교에서 귀신이 쫓겨나가고 고질병이 치유되고 있지만, 이런 일들을 세상에 나팔을 불면 많은 이들이 영성학교에만 하나님이 계시고 구원이 있냐고 힐난하기 때문입니다.
Yes, there are people who have demons driven out and healed; but people will attack and say, "Why does God only stay in CSA and save people there?"

물론 제가 조용히 하나님이 보내주시는 양들만을 맡아서 영혼구원사역을 할 수도 있지만 그러지 않는 이유는, 많은 크리스천들이 기적과 이적이 일어나지 않는 믿음에 대해서 아무런 의구심을 갖지 않고 형식적인 예배의식과 희생적인 신앙생활을 하는 것으로 천국의 자격을 철썩 같이 믿고 있는 게 너무도 안타깝기 때문이에요.
Yeah, I know. I can quietly work with the sheep God sends me to my way. I chose not to, for too many Christians believe in their own salvation without raising a question, just because they are diligently and ambitiously participating in church activities.

제가 말하고자 하는 것은, 지금도 하나님은 살아계시며 귀신을 쫒아내시며 질병을 치유하시는 이적과 기적으로 영혼을 구원하고 하나님의 나라를 확장하신다는 겁니다.
What I want to say is that God, even at this moment, is alive, saves people's souls, and expands his kingdom by driving demons out and healing people.

우리네 교회지도자들은 성령의 능력으로 사역을 하는 것이 아니라, 인본적인 방식과 세상적인 지식과 지혜를 쫒아서 사역을 하기 때문에 이들에게 아무런 기적이 나타나지 않는 거죠.
And nothing happens in churches today because they do not carry on their ministry through Holy Spirit and his power; they just like to carry their will out, following what the world wants.

성령은 1분짜리 영접기도에 동의한다고 들어오시는 분이 아니라, 전인격적으로 하나님을 받아들이며 성령을 사모하는 이들에게만 들어오십니다.
Holy Spirit doesn't come when you recite a minute-long acceptance prayer; he only comes to people who really follow him, accepting God as the ultimate God.

예수님을 3년 반동안 따라 다니던 사도들과 120여명의 제자들이 마가요한의 다락방에 모여서, 열흘 남짓 아무 일도 하지 않고 전심으로 기도했을 때 성령이 내려오셨습니다.
Holy Spirit came down to people after continually praying for over 10 days; and these were the ones who followed Jesus for 3 and half years--120 of them plus the apostles.

그들에게 성령이 임재 하는 표적은 각종 성령의 은사였죠.
The sign of Holy Spirit's presence was variety of spiritual gifts.

그래서 그들은 귀신을 쫒아내고 질병을 치유하는 기적과 이적으로 영혼구원사역을 하며 초대교회를 세워나갔습니다.
So those people chased demons out, healed illnesses, and expanded God's kingdom through miracles.

성령이 임재 하셨다고 지속적으로 계시는 것이 아니에요.
The Holy Spirit is not going to stay permanently with you, just because he came to you once.

놀라운 성령의 능력을 보여주었던 사도바울이 쉬지 말고 기도하라고 권면한 이유는, 그렇게 기도해야 성령께서 지속적으로 함께 계시기 때문입니다.
The reason Paul kept urging people to pray was that is the only way Holy Spirit stays continually.

또한 베드로도 하루 3번씩 정해놓고 기도하였으며, 예수님도 종말이 가까울수록 깨어서 항상 기도하라고 하지 않으셨습니까?
Peter also set a schedule to pray 3 times a day, and Jesus said we must be alert, awake and praying, as the end is near.

그러나 우리네 교회에서는 하나님을 쉬지 않고 부르고 성령을 간절히 찾는 기도는 하지 않고, 일회적인 영접기도로 성령의 내주를 주장하고 있지요.
But churches today don't mention anything about calling out to God continually; they just skip and say he is already with people, if they've done the acceptance prayer.

그래서 우리네 교회에 사도행전에 나타나는 이적과 기적이 나타나지 않습니다.
This is why we don't see any miracles that we see in the Book of Acts today.

이렇게 무능하고 무기력한 믿음의 현상이 성령이 계시지 않는 증거가 아니고 무엇이겠습니까?
What other reason is there for nothing miraculous happening, other than the absence of faith?

그래서 저는 성경적인 기적이 일어나지 않는 교인들에게 구원이 확정되었다는 신학자의 주장을 인정하지 않습니다.
That is why I don't accept any theologians theories of salvation, if I don't see the signs of the Spirit.

그러므로 지금이라도 마가요한의 다락방에 모였던 사도들과 120여명의 제자들처럼, 전심으로 하나님을 부르고 간절히 성령의 내주를 간구해야 할 겁니다.
So please pray continually, just like people gathered at Mark John's attic; call out to God, seek him, and ask for the Holy Spirit's indwelling.

그러면 그 때나 지금이나 동일하게 성령께서 우리의 삶과 영혼을 축복해주시고, 놀라운 영적 능력을 주어 하나님의 나라를 회복하는 요긴한 종으로 사용하실 겁니다.
Then God will bless you, and give you amazing power to carry out his will, just like he did to people in the Bible.
