Jump Off the Burning Churches Today

Hello. This is Pastor Shin from Christian Spirituality Academy.

남해 고속도로 창원 터널 부근에서 엔진 오일을 가득 실은 트럭이 갑자기 가드레일을 들이받고 멈춰 섬으로, 적재함에 실려 있던 기름통이 폭발해서 근방에 있던 자동차에 불이 옮겨 붙기 시작했습니다.
Let's talk about a situation. Let's say an oil truck bumped into the guardrail while driving down a freeway; the oil started leaking and exploded; the fire started to jump to cars next to it.

만약 여러분이 그 근방의 자동차 안에 있었다면 어떻게 하겠습니까?
If you were inside one of the cars, what would you have done?

공포에 질려서 자동차 안에서 꼼짝하지 않는다면 통닭구이가 될 판이죠.
You are as good as dead, if you don't run out of your car and run.

무섭고 두렵더라도 차에서 뛰쳐나와 역방향으로 걸음아 나살려라 하고 뛰어야 하지 않을까요?
Shouldn't you run, had that kind of horror happens, even if you are scared to death?

그러나 머뭇거리다가 불에 타는 기름통이 자신의 자동차에 옮겨 붙기라도 했다면 더 이상 기회가 없을 겁니다.
If you stay still, if that fire comes for your car, you would not have a chance to survive this.

이런 일이 대다수의 우리네 교회의 암울한 현실입니다.
This is just a metaphor for churches today. Pretty gruesome, isn't it?

그러나 현실을 외면하고 덮어둔다면, 기름통이 활활 타는 뜨거운 지옥에서 영원히 고통을 당하고 있어야 할 겁니다.
If you avoid this situation and try to put everything under a rug, you'll end up in Hell, facing eternal damnation.

얼마 전에 칼럼의 댓글에, 누군가가 광화문에서 커다란 팻말을 들고 다니는 외국인의 사진을 올려놓았습니다.
Not too long ago, someone posted a comment on my column with a photo of a man (a foreigner) with a picket fence sign.

그 팻말에는 이렇게 쓰여 있었죠.
The picket fence read:

'오늘날의 교회는 타락했어요. 예수님을 찾으세요, 혼자서'라고 말이에요.
'Churches today have fallen. Find Jesus. Alone'.

아니, 우리나라 사람도 아닌 외국인이, 이렇게 경악할만한 내용의 팻말을 들고 대도시의 골목을 돌아다닌다는 사실이 기가 막힌 일입니다.
It is absurd to see this message, especially from a non-Korean folk, roaming around streets of Seoul.

그래서 그동안 성령께서 제게, 우리네 교회에 하신 말씀의 일부를 올려드리겠습니다.
So I would like to share what the Holy Spirit has told me about churches today.

• 종교적인 신앙인들이 이색종교단체에 빠질 것이다. 교회가 많이 무너질 것이다.
• Religious people will fall for the cult. Churches will fall.

• 나의 마당만 밟는 양(교인)들이 허다하다.
• There are plenty of sheep who only tread on my yard.

• 교회 우두머리들이 성전 꼭대기에 있다.
• Pastors consider themselves come before me.

• 교회가 기도하는 것을 잊었다.
• Churches today have forgotten to pray.

• 교회 이름이 땅에 떨어진 이 시대에, 익지 않은 과일이 땅에 떨어진 것처럼 썩은 악취 가 나고, 입으로만 주여 주여 하고, 귀신들을 쫒는 일에 관심이 없고, 귀신의 초청 에만 몰두한다.
• Churches today are lost; they are like unripe falling onto the ground; they smell, people only call out to God with their mouths; they are not interested in fighting against demons.

• 많은 종들이 살찐 양들만 찾아다닌다.
• Many servants look for fat and well-fed sheep.

• 오늘날의 교회는 인본주의화 되어있고 상업적이다.
• Churches today are commercialized and capitalistic.

• 세상에는 세속적인 타락한 교회가 너무 많다.
• There are too many churches that have fallen.

• 거짓과 미혹의 영이 교회지도자들의 머리 위에 있다.
• Spirits of falsehood are on top of church leaders.

• 오늘날의 교회가 귀신들을 많이 불러들인다.
• Churches today invite demons in.

• 길에 버려진 양들이 너무 많다.
• There are too many sheep that are thrown out into the streets.

• 오늘날 교회가 지혜와 지식을 구하지 않고 지혜와 지식이 없어 망하는 도다.
• Churches fall because they don't ask for wisdom and knowledge.

• 먹고 마시고 떠들다가 망하는 교회가 많다. 지혜가 없는 교회이다.
• Churches that have no wisdom fall as they eat, drink, and chatter.

• 이름만 교회지 속이 지옥(사단의 회)인 데가 많다.
• There are tons of places that claim to be churches but are Hell inside. (Church of Satan)

• 교단은 교세를 확장하기 위해서이고, 교회는 창에 찔린 예수를 알리지 않고 업적을 알리는 데 혈안이고, 양들은 귀신들의 공격에 독 안에 든 쥐이고, 쓸 만한 양들은 귀신의 조화와 활동에 무지하고, 어디로부터 왔는지 모르고 기쁨도 소망도 없는 일 에 몰두하고 아버지의 뜻에 무지하다. 기초훈련이 안된 자들은 귀신들의 존재도 모 른다. 종들을 부리는 영은 고급영이다.
• Church organizations are there for expanding their territories; churches love to have lights on themselves and easily forget to mention Jesus' work; people are sitting ducks, waiting for demons to devour them; there is no hope or joy; they are oblivious of what Father wants; people are not aware of demons at all.

• 종이 주인의 말을 듣는 것이 당연하나 어찌된 일인지, 내 일은 마다하고 자신들이 하고 싶어 하는 일만 골라서 하고, 내 양들은 길거리에서 무차별하게 학대당하는 것도 모르고 자기들만 먹고 잔치하고 있다.
• It is given that the servants are told what to do; but there are servants who only do what they'd like--the are completely unaware and careless for my sheep that have been thrown out to the streets and abused.

• 교회는 자기의 뜻이 아닌 아버지의 뜻으로 사는 원칙을 가르치는 곳으로, 마지막 때는 이 원칙이 사라지고 무너지며, 자기 마음대로 살며, 기초신앙이 무너지고 세 속적이고 세상적인 잣대로 세상을 사는 물질만능의, 그야말로 인본적인 사상이 교 회 안에 들어오며, 이미 기초신앙이 무너진 교회들이 많다.
• A church should be founded by God's will, not people's will; however, that is gone today; people live however they want; churches today live in materialism; the basic faith have fallen.

• 교단이 나를 섬기지 못한다.
• Church organizations cannot serve me.

• 한국에 있는 많은 종들이 미혹의 영에 빠졌다는 것을 알고, 어깨너머로 배운 지식 (신학교 교육)으로는 나를 만날 수 없다.
• There are countless people who fell for spirits of falsehood; and you cannot meet me just by having knowledge (from seminaries).

• 무수히 나를 떠난 종들이 많다.
• There are plenty of servants that have left me.

• 귀신을 두려워하는 자들로 만드는 것이 오늘날의 현실이다.
• The harsh reality is that churches today make people afraid of demons.

이런 암울한 현실에도 불구하고, 하나님은 우리네 교회의 양들을 안타깝게 보시면서, 한 사람이라도 천국에 들이시고 싶어 하십니다.
Despite the harsh reality churches face today, God still wants to reach out to his sheep.

그러나 불타는 교회에서 도망치지 않는다면, 마지막이 될 기회조차도 잡지 못할 것입니다.
But if you don't run away from churches like that, you won't even be able to grab the chance that'd be given to you.

끝으로, 예수님의 안타까운 심정을 담은 편지를 올려드리면서 칼럼을 마치겠습니다.
I would like to share with you how Jesus feels about the world today.

‘아직도 내 나라에 올 자들이 믿고 구원 얻은 백성이 많지만, 나는 모든 사람들이 내 나라에 들어오기를 바라지만 그들이 나를 알지 못하고 알려고 하지 않기 때문에 나의 나라에 들어오는 자들은 소수이므로 내 알고서도 내려가지 못하고, 기도하는 자들 가운데 그들이 원수들을 이기고 내 나라에 들어오도록 문밖에서 기다리고 있느니라. 이러한 것들을 알려준다.’
'There still are many people who can receive salvation; I want to bring all of them into Heaven; but they don't want to know me; I wait for people right in front of the door of Heaven, for people to pray and win agains the enemy. That is why I share this with you.'
