STEEMCHURCH - God is a God of Order.

God is a God of Order.

We experience that God is a God of order by the coherence of the seasons, the tides and the solar orbits. We can order our lives because we know with what precision the sun will set and come out again; how the seasons will change, how the tides will be, and how the planets will rotate on their axes. There is a cadence and a rhythm in our lives due to the order that God has put in place in the universe in which we are suspended and in the nature in which we live. From ecosystems to solar systems, God has set in motion patterns that we can study and document through what we call science.

God provided the definitive example of the administration of time and order in the book of Genesis. In six days, He created the earth and everything in it, and on the seventh day He rested. Everything was according to the plan. There was an order as to when and how He created: a succession and progression as to how He developed each organism and each species. God did not waste his resources, especially his time. He was determined and concise when he displayed life on our planet.

Let's see Noah, Joseph, Moses and David. All of them were men of honor and order. They were disciplined and dedicated, and they submitted to the commandments of God. They were strong and courageous, because they understood the power of a hierarchy and divine authority. They followed orders, knowing the power they had at their disposal by submitting to God. Even Solomon understood the importance of order when he meticulously followed God's instructions and chain of command in building the temple. We read in 2 Chronicles 8:16: "All the work of Solomon was carried out, from the day that the foundations of the temple were laid until it was finished, so that the temple of the Lord was perfectly finished." In the New Testament, Paul urges us regarding the church of God: "But everything must be done in an appropriate and orderly manner" (1 Corinthians 14:40).

Order is a condition in which freedom from disorder or interruption is maintained through structures, systems and protocol. Whenever there is a lack of order, rank or chain of command; provided that the protocol is not present; or whenever a code of conduct is not perceived or understood, it produces emptiness, lack of purpose and meaning. If your life is characterized by confusion, conflict, frustration or lack of direction, meaning or perspective, it is an indication that you are deficient in the area of order. Where there is no order there is no light: "To the country of the deepest of nights, to the country of shadows and chaos, where even light resembles darkness" (Job 10:22).

Until you decide to reverse the perpetual cycle of disorder, you will continue to experience cycles of defeat and failure. This principle is illustrated by the law of entropy: the tendency that energy has to dissipate and move from one state of order to another of disorder. Entropy can be defined as a dispersion of energy. Unless you intentionally take advantage of time and energy, unless you order with the authority that has been given to you, your life will dissolve into a state of chaos, and you will never experience the life of meaning and fruit that God wants for you. Do not just let things happen; make things happen.

  • 1 Corinthians 14:40 But let all things be done decently and with order.

As we know, the Corinthians were very disorderly people, they were people like today's Christians; no more no less. In their lives they had disorder, in the Church there was disorder, in the work there was disorder, in every place there was a lot of disorder, which affected the spiritual life of all of them.

The disorder had reached such a degree that the apostle Paul is moved by the Lord to write this letter and to make an appeal to the church in Corinth, to all the Christians of that time and of ours, so that the things let's do what God establishes. The Corinthians had received the Word of God, they had been people visited by the Holy Spirit and therefore the manifestations of the Spirit of God had become evident in the church, in the whole congregation.

The gifts of the Spirit of God were manifested with great power in the churches of Corinth, and therefore, there were those who prophesied, who healed sick, who preached the Word, who performed miracles, who spoke in tongues, who interpreted them, there were those who they gave a word of science, another word of wisdom, in short, there was a great movement there. The gifts of the Holy Spirit manifested with power; but there was a problem, a serious and severe problem, and it was that all of them manifested the gifts of the Spirit of God in an absolute disorder, there was no order in the church. Therefore at the time that was praising, some began to prophesy in different places, others began to speak in tongues, others on the other hand began to interpret, others were imposing hands to heal the sick; in short, there was a lot of disorder.
