STEEMCHURCH: THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TO THE WORLD - OUR DIVINE ASSIGNMENT

in #steemchurch6 years ago

And he said unto them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be condemned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.Mark 16:15-18

Reaching out with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to every creature is a divine assignment given to all. You and I have a role to play to ensure that the Gospel gets to every corner of the world. How dreadful will it be if on that day are we thrown out of the Lord's sight for not fulfilling His mandate. There is nothing so important to God than sinners getting saved, and how will they be saved if they do not hear the word and how will they hear the word if there is no preacher?

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?Romans 10:14

PREACH THE GOSPEL

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for this obligation has been entrusted to me. How terrible it would be for me if I didn’t preach the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9 :16

Our duty to God is to ensure that every soul get saved. Jesus will not come if the gospel is not preached everywhere and to every soul. Often times when we talk about evangelism or soul winning business many people assume it is the sole duty of an evangelist. Jesus never mandated only one person but all of us. Then the question of how to evangelize comes in, How should I preach the gospel? where should I preach? what if they don't hear me when I proclaim the good news? These are the questions we sometimes ask ourselves.

How should we preach the gospel?

A witness always says what he has seen or heard and that's exactly what we must do when we preach the gospel. Preaching the gospel is telling the world what Jesus has done in your life....how he saved your life, made you a new creature, gave you grace which no man could give. It is not all about quoting scriptures. The Samaritan woman was able to connect an entire city to God with just her testimony and later on an entire city was converted.

Now many of the Samaritans of that town believed in Jesus because the woman had testified, “He told me everything I’ve ever done.” So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there for two days. And many more believed because of what he said. They kept telling the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, because now we have heard him ourselves, and we know that he really is the Savior of the world.”John 4:39-42

Where should I preach the gospel?
One day Peter stood in front of a huge crowd and delivered a powerful message that won 3000 souls for Christ in a day.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their hearts, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this corrupt generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.Acts 2:37-41

He wasn't on Tv, on radio and didn't use any public address system but he still preached, the bible says he raised his voice. in this contemporary world we have many mediums to channel the gospel, we have the internet, radio, tv. besides we sit in buses, walk on streets. They are all places we can proclaim the gospel. We have no excuse not to preach the gospel.

What if they don't listen?

And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! Mathew 10:14-15

Jesus knew that not everyone will gladly accept the truth and there are many who will stand against the gospel. Even in his days many opposed him for speaking the truth. We are not greater than the master and whatever he suffered we will face the same. Our concern should not be about those who will listen or will not listen when we preach the gospel. Our concern be should about preaching the gospel.

SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

One good reason why the Holy Spirit comes upon someone is for demonstration. Every witness needs a proof for his case to be valid enough. If not for signs and wonders how would people just believe Jesus is a healer, and still in the healing business, how would people accept that Jesus died and rose again if we don't raise the dead? Jesus said: and these signs shall follow them, not them following signs. This should tell you that it is for the sake of the gospel why God has permitted that signs or miracles happen.

Today we live in a world where there are many miracle seekers than gospel preachers. If we truly want the manifestations of the spirit we should preach the word. The reasons there were so many great miracles in the ministry of the Apostles was because they were always preaching the good news everywhere and the Lord had to also authenticate them by demonstrating His power as they witness for Him. This is what we all need to do today as church, let's keep preaching the word in our countries, cities, towns, streets, neighborhoods, bus stations, schools, on social media platforms and in any place where we can find souls.

We want to see hell empty and Heaven full of souls.

God bless you today as you share His word.

In a day of depressing headlines and uncertainty all around us, good news is very welcome. What better news could there be than as the old hymn says: “The vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus a pardon receives?” When Christians refer to the “Gospel” they are referring to the “good news” that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for our sin so that we might become the children of God through faith alone in Christ alone. In short, “the Gospel” is the sum total of the saving truth as God has communicated it to lost humanity as it is revealed in the person of His Son and in the Holy Scriptures, the Bible. If you aren’t sure whether or not you are God’s child, you might want to read God’s Plan of Salvation before you read on in this lesson.

Thanks for this message. You and I have a role to play to ensure that the Gospel gets to every corner of the world. The bible says : for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, Romans 3:23-24, this is the message that many haven't heard that they need to hear; that the only way they can be free from their sins is to run to Jesus who is the way the truth and the life and without him no one can have life. This is indeed what we are suppose to do, it's our assignment and woe unto us if we fail to do.

The book of scriptures says : for all have trespassed and miss the mark regarding the eminence of God, being legitimized uninhibitedly by His elegance through the reclamation that is in Christ Jesus, Romans 3:23-24, this is the message that numerous haven't heard that they have to hear; that the main way they can be free from their wrongdoings is to raced to Jesus who is the way reality and the life and without him nobody can have life. This is without a doubt what we are assume to do, it's our task and hardship unto us on the off chance that we neglect to do.

The core mandate of every born again is to propagate the kingdom of God thus preaching the Gospel to the world. It should therefore be our utmost desire to live up to the task of manifesting God through Jesus Christ to others. God helps us to embark on this quest for this is our calling

Truly we need to preach the gosple for there is power in the word. The more we preach the more God will exhibit his might through His word for the world to see we are truly serving a wonder God.Thanks @sc-g

@steemchurch Ghana is up and running, I'm really glad of the awesome message of our brothers from the west, I say a warm greeting to you, the message of our lord Jesus Christ is very important to be spread and we are beacons that spreads the good news all over the world.

The end is near abs our message of salvation to the world is tantamount and very important to save soul.
May the blessing of the lord be with you

Amen. We must spread the gospel for it's such mandate we live. The gospel was entrusted to us by our Lord Jesus Christ when he was departing from the earth. It's a great privilege to partake in this divine assignment knowing that there crown in heaven awaiting for these who perform this duty.

18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20, )

Also we must preach the truth. There is a curse on those who'll lead people to hell.

8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! (Galatians 1:8-9,)

Let's be simple and preach what is sound to the people. They salvation of the people is based upon the message we give to them. It's the power of God unto salvation

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16,)

God bless you for this message @sc-g.
