VOTE WISELY NIGERIANS, DONT BE FOOLED AGAIN

in #steemchurch5 years ago

Greetings wonderful parishioners of steemchurch community, I welcome you with the love of God to this blog, I was led in my heart to blog about the coming general election in Nigeria, and I want to use this medium to reach out to all the Nigerian parishioners and plead you all to vote wisely, because whatever decision we make on that day will be what we will live with for the next four years.

Am not in favour of any political party, but before we cast our votes let's ask and answer this few questions,

what have we achieved through this government, in terms of

  • SECURITY
  • ECONOMY STABILITY
  • DO WE ACTUALLY NEED A CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT, OR DO WE LET THEM CONTINUE.

All this are vital questions that should guard us, for God sake, the suffering in this nation is way too much and we don't need to keep mute anymore.
Many Nigerians have lost hope and refused to vote while many feel no matter what happens the bad heads can't be taken away, so they sell their votes to this worst people who comes to power and does what they like. Now let's go back to this questions.

HOW HAVE THE GOVERNMENT PROTECTED HIS PEOPLE.

One of the major problem facing the nation Nigeria are tribal difference. That was the major factors that affected the previous government, where terrorist groups known as boko Haram raised from the northern Nigeria and wasted lives and property all because we had a president from the south southern region of nigeria, many innocent people lost their lives and many young girls were kidnapped and abused, how can we forget the Gring back out girls campaign. Finally during 2015 election a president from the northern region came onboard the people who believes they are born to rule and will cause trouble when other tribe comes becomes the president, since then a group known as Fulani herdsmen (a group of cattle rearers) came up, and killed people mercilessly and the government did nothing. Many of our soldiers have been sent out to fight boko Haram terrorist and ended up wasting their lives because it seems the terrorist already have loads of information's of the soldiers and well armed than the Nigerian army. What a pity.

ECONOMY STABILITY

The economy has been tougher for the past four years, the president claimed that his major agenda is to fight corruption but from the look of things he is only fighting his opposition parties while protecting his corrupt party members. The government of Nigeria is no doubt controlled by cabal in the northern region who are monopolizing the wealth of the nation.
The Nigerian economy has always been a monosector economy who are highly dependent on petroleum, while leaving other sector a dying sector. That has been the Genesis of Nigerian problem. Now the oil wells in Nigeria are mostly found in the south-south and southeastern region, but been controlled by the few people from the northern region, and the proceed are been consumed by this few people and their families and also used to develop de of the northern region, this is injustice of the highest order.

Now lets ask ourselves few question,

  1. Can we go with this government?
  2. Do we see future in this government?
  • Let's not be fooled by their cheap gifts, cos we are not cheap.

  • They will share N500 today and loot over N500 billion when they get into power.

  • They send their children abroad to school while they kill our educational sectors out of greed.
Let's be wise and vote wisely, Nigeria is our country, if we have faith that the country will be better, then we must work to make it better by doing what is right.

REMEMBER, FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS USELESS

Sort:

Beyond any shadow of a doubt, voting is the duty and responsibility of every Christian and voting for leaders who promote Christian principles. Certainly God is in control, but that does not mean that we do not do anything to encourage His will. In 1 Timothy 2: 1-4, we are commanded to pray for our leaders. In terms of political leadership, there is evidence in Scripture that God has sometimes been displeased with our choices (Hosea 8: 4)
