People naturally rejoice in riches because they know the options, influence, and recognition that become a part of life for having such. Here, the Psalmist is implying that obeying the law of God will do the same, and I agree.

Like it was pointed out above, yes having riches and money does make this life a bit easier but we need to seek the kingdom of God first and if we do that we will want to walk out what our Creator said to do!
