You see good or you are good

"Because you say: I am rich, and I have become rich, and I have no need of anything; and you do not know that you are a hapless, miserable, poor, blind and naked person. " Revelation 3:14
The society of today pays more attention to how we see ourselves than to how we are. We can see the amount of products that are offered to stylize the image from applications or filters and even girdles that dissimulate abdominal fat to leave more slender in front of others.
Everything is about how we see ourselves and how we project our image before others.
- WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT IT.
This church testified of itself as rich and blessed, saw itself as a church that enjoyed great prosperity and had no need of anything.
Like many people who, according to their own terms, see themselves as just and benevolent, who have no need to repent and all their actions are good but ignore what the Word of God declares: "Every way of man is right in his opinion : But the Lord weighs the hearts. " Proverbs 21: 2
Not always what we think of ourselves is right, but we must take our thinking to the filter of the word of God.
- WHAT PEOPLE SEE.
It is probable that the Laodicean church was admired by society, as a blessed church, with brothers who enjoyed great wealth and important positions within society. and I clarify that this is not bad, but it is not the referent of the blessing or the divine approval.
This society teaches us that everything has to do with the opinion of others and therefore we must make an effort not to be well but to pretend. We want to disguise the age and look a bit younger, project a marriage that is perfect in networks even if in reality we are destroying ourselves. Publish in the networks a life of success when in our privacy we live the opposite.
- THAT GOD SAYS AND SEES IN YOU.
We know what the Laodicean church says about itself and we have a notion of what people might see of it, but God, who says and sees about it. He says you look like rich but you are poor and miserable, you look hot but you are warm, I hope you were cold, you dress in expensive clothes but you are naked, you publish that you are blessed but you are the hapless one among all the churches, you say you see but You are blind, I advise you to buy my eye drops for you to see.
At the end of the day it is not about what we say about ourselves or about how people see us but about what God testifies about us. The Christian life is not about pleasing or living for men but about projecting the image of Christ in our daily life.
"And there is no created thing that is not manifest in his presence; rather, all things are naked and open to the eyes of the one to whom we have to give an account ". Hebrews 4:13
That it is better for us to have the approval of men if in our relationship with God we are disapproved, that it is better for us to see ourselves as successful if we know deep down that we are wrong. This is not about seeing ourselves well, but about being.
