John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Under the new commandment, God wants us to love, for He that does not love, loves not God, for God is Love. As christians, because of the regeneration i.e the new life we have in Christ, we cannot but love.
In Ephesians Paul was saying to the Judge that
This is our prayer for you, to be rooted and grounded in Christ's love.
The love of Christ cant be captured by our knowledge, it has to be experienced. Knowledge is to know, have information about something. If Christ's love is beyond our knowledge then how do we capture it?
There are generally four (4) types of love.
1.) Eros: This type of loves encompasses sexual love, it is the Love between Husband and Wife.
Genesis 29:20-21, And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her. And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.
Jacob served Laban for 14 years just to get what he wanted.
2.) Storge: This means familiar love, it is the kind of love that exists between family members, amongst siblings, mother and child, father and mother etc.

3.) Philia: This is brotherly love, brotherly love refers to love for people around you, loving your neighbours. The scripture says
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
4.) Agape Love: This is selfless love, sacrificial love, it is the God's type of love, Christ admonishes us to love one another as He has loved us. When we come into Christ, we befin to share certain things in common, one faith one baptism.
You cannot be moved with compassion outside feeling, Philia type of live is concerned with brotherly love and feelings, but Agape love does not bank on feelings, it is unconditional, irrespective of who, what and where you come from.
Agape love is a product of choice and not feeling. This type of love is by your own will, you do not wait to have emotions for someone before you love the person, you choose to love the person by your own will. Agape love is a love you choose to have.
John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
Christ died for us by choice, not by feelings. He had the power to release it and take it back, but He chose to release it ( His life). This is the kind of love He wants us to possess. After Steven the matyrrh had given the people so much exposition that they resulted to stone Him to death, before he died he still prayed on their behalf that they be forgiven for they know not what they are doing.
The statement Steven made at the point of his death was based on choice not feeling, as human, if was to dwell and speak based on his feeling, he would curse the people and that they be punished severely for persecuting him, instead he prayed for their forgiveness, this is Agape love, a love of choice.
God chose to send His son and His son chose to die for us. He didn't wait for us to get it right before He chose to die for us because we just might never get it right.
The love of God is sacrificial, Agape love is sacrificial, it gives , God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, For Jesus ( the son) so loved the world that He gave His precious life. Which sacrifice are we willing to pay all for the sake of Love? We should love God such that we will be ready to lose our life to Him.

Romans 5:6-8
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commandeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
In conclusion, the love of God for us is consistent, it is unconditional and sacrificial, perfect love casts out fear, he who walks in love is not blind, he does not cast obstacles at the ways of others and at His own ways.

Many people refer to First Corinthians chapter 13 as “the love chapter.” Too often, we want to skip over reading that part of the Bible. I will readily admit that there have been times in my life when I wanted to ignore that chapter.
But during those times, the Lord continued to lead me to read it. First Corinthians 13:4–7 in the Amplified says, “Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done
Agape love is supreme, its the best kind of love you can ever have because its unconditional, its the kind of love that carries a caring heart, to cherish and to care for those that are in need, its a kind of love that entails helping one another including the less privileged that we do not even know. We should all strive for agape love for with it the society will be a better place to dwell in.
The law of Moses has been narrowed down really, and that's because of the intercession of Jesus on the cross, God specifically instructs us to love another as Jesus proclaimed that he's given us two commandments, and by this we've become sons and daughters of God.
Agape love is so supreme that we love unconditionally. We must be ready to exercise agape love because it is a thing you do by your choice alone. No going back from it.
God is Love! Love covers a multitude of sin! Love never fails! Love never does wrong. How can we say we love God, who we have never seen and hate our brother who we do see and is made in God’s image?
Jesus said the one thing that would show the world that we are Hid disciples is if we have love, one for the other!

Agape love is preeminent, its the best sort of adoration you can ever have on the grounds that its genuine, its the sort of affection that conveys a minding heart, to treasure and to nurture those that are in require, its a sort of adoration that involves helping each other including the less special that we don't know. We should all take a stab at agape love for with it the general public will be a superior place to stay in.
The law of Moses has been limited truly, and that is a direct result of the intervention of Jesus on the cross, God particularly trains us to love another as Jesus announced that he's given us two edicts, and by this we've progressed toward becoming children and girls of God.
