The Word teaches that man in general is an individual who possesses a physical dimension, as is the human body, constituted of the dust of the earth; and a nonphysical dimension the divine breath that granted him the breath of life, that verse of the bible you can find here Genesis 2: 7.

From this concrete fact arises the idea that man has body and spirit, the appointment finds here Ecclesiastes 12: 7

Basically the mechanics are very simple.

Internally we have human needs, desires and expectations as human beings; externally there are many but many possibilities to satisfy those natural impulses; The sin that is the number one that dwells in each human being, distorts the way to obtain satisfaction.

There is a natural impulse to worship the Higher Self, for us, God who becomes idolatry and that is the product of the sin that dwells in man.

So forth for the list of sins that Paul shows in Galatians 5: 19-21

We have a struggle and that is what we have to know, but the most important thing to know is that we have to please God and live in holiness.
