( A small "real-time" speed .gif of gamblers testing their luck on www.Steem-Roller.com )

Overnight the under construction beta version of www.Steem-Roller.com saw a significant increase to the bankroll as a handful of investors and gamblers went head to head, ultimately leading to a victory for the users choosing to bankroll the site during the experimental beta testing phase of the site, was wild to watch!

While initially the intention wasn't to have a free-for-all or completely open to public beta testing phase so far it seems to be doing alright with a number of bugs being found and patched, primarily to do with chat functions and GUI element scaling.

Preliminary Beta Feedback is Good!

Besides some minor annoyances caused by GUI bugs and some aire of confusion as to how exactly the site works it seems that feedback from users that have swung by www.Steem-Roller.com to come check out the sites features have been positive.

Known bug list can be viewed here:
Steem-Roller.com Bug List

At this stage in development feedback is important and helps shape the look and feel of the experience on the site as well as sets the development roadmap for future versions. Lots of neat ideas been tossed around for the site and may end up making it into future incarnations of the site but for now the goal is to 100% finish the functionality originally planned for launch and then continue on from there.

w00t! Chat Tipping Function Fixed!

You can now (once again) click usernames in chat which should open up a menu allowing you to tip other users STEEM.. as well as direct private message and view their gambling stats, however the last 2 functions are still being implemented.

Tipping however should work and their is no fee on tipping from user to user making it perfect for off chain transfers of STEEM from user to user if that's a functionality one is looking to utilize. The only records of tips are kept in a server side database and under no circumstance would the site ever share this information.

Going to be working on some chat and moderator functionality throughout today as well as also be trying to polish up both the mobile & tablet GUI rendering as those are a few items high up on the list of shit to get done to get the site ready for launch.

Lined Up for Future Success

chromecapture 3.gif

The site since going to a public open beta using real STEEM crypto currency has rolled over 1,500,000 bets ( yes, that's 1.5 MILLION ) for gamblers and had nearly 2400 STEEM wagered. Considering the site isn't even launched yet and is still under development one can only speculate how much betting volume and usage the site will have once it's fully battle tested, operational, launched and marketed.

Given that investing is open to all STEEM holders and requires no special tokens to receive dividends or such nonsense it is very likely that www.Steem-Roller.com will become one of the more popular investment options for the STEEM community.

Being able to invest with up to 50x leverage while avoiding the restrictions of having to power up or wait for delegations to return should be a great success as an investment vehicle for idle STEEM.

Come Check Out the Beta

Although the site is currently under development and I claim absolutely ZERO fucking liability to the any of the goings on within said site during the beta development phase if you're not afraid of checking out experimental websites or possibly trying your luck at gambling, investing or both you're more than welcome to visit:

www.Steem-Roller.com

NOTE: The mobile and tablet versions of the sites are still pretty rough & jiggity jank

Go to the site and register an account then go below and comment your www.Steem-Roller.com username, then drop by the Steem-Roller trollbox / chat and I'll tip you a Steem cent (0.01) to come test out the gambling or investing on the site.

The site allows sub Steemcents betting up to the 8th decimal place allowing users to gamble STEEMtoshis (0.00000001 STEEM) as well as receive investment profits on smaller investments. So that free Steemcent for testing is up to 1000000 rolls if you decided to roll the smallest amount allowed on the site. ( use x990000 odds! )

My apologies to anyone encountering GUI errors that prevent them from utilizing site functions. If you find bugs not contained on the list above please let me know by posting here, posting in the SR Trollbox or finding me on Discord!

Being able to be the Bankroll is a great feature. No freaking token farmin with a little dividend at the end.

The Investment is 17 Steem up for me, can't wait to see the future development of that.

One question though: Would it be possible to get a daily % payout of the profits from the investment?
Example: Setting a automatic payout at 50% of the investment profits daily, would mean that with a profit of 1 Steem for one day, Steem Roller would devest 0.5 Steem and sent it to the Steem account of the owner.
(I wouldn't use it right now, but this might getting interesting soon.)

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you're making some profit on your investment.

Was playing with the idea of adding an auto invest function for folks to have their deposits get automatically invested. Hadn't considered an auto divest / withdraw feature but perhaps in a future version can see about adding something like that. :)

Great work, very excited. I created a username same as my steem tag minus the @

Now when I try to log in with keychain, it says invalid PW (keychain is unlocked, I'm just hitting 'okay/confirm'). To be clear I'm entering my keychain PW in that case and it's different than Steem Roller PW. Could this be an issue because my ID is same as Steem ID?

Ahh. Yeah... So when you register if you used a username / password way it sets your account to be like that all the time.. If you register with Steem keychain then you always have to use that... You are likely onto something given your username is already your steem ID on keychain. good thinking.

In theory could allow both types of logins.. will take a bit of coding and testing though.. perhaps a way to change your username / password account login into a keychain login somehow?

I thought it was like a sub-account or something where I just transfer steem to and play with. Honestly, got a little confused when I saw keychain login, just thought that was something else to help with transfers. From my understanding my balance in steem-roller is separate from my balance on steem blockchain.

On Steem-Roller when you register an account with keychain it uses your Steem ID and then verifies that you have access to the private keys, makes an account from there.

You registered the old fashioned way and thus when you try and login with Keychain it tries to log you in with the password that would be fashioned by confirming access to your private keys and thus brings up wrong password (as password was already set the old fashioned way when you registered)

Your Steem-Roller balance is indeed separate from your STEEM account balance. Keychain is only used for login stuff at this time. :)

Ahh I see, and when I try to reset or change PW, it puts me in the same loop. Need a way to break out.
I have alts to play with in the meantime, but at this stage I'm just interested in breaking things (bug testing) by making strange choices.

Nice! Bug testing is good. Highly appreciate that!

if you're locked out of your account I can reset the password for you. Send me a message on discord if you like.

Thanks, not locked out. Also have no issue using a back up account or making another one, lol
