These two reasons are actually good reasons.

Bur for me, one of the most important things (in my opinion) were adressed and well presented by the dev team: scalability. If the software running the nodes and interfacing with the webservices do not improve, we will have a real problem. So in this steemfest:

• Technical solutions to the scalability problems were presented.
• The SMTs were presented as a way to incentivice existing and new users to create great products. A new SMT user is automaticaly a steem user. Growth is value. Value attract investors.
