[STEEM FLEA MARKET GUIDE 2.0] Innovative NEW Ways to Sell + Tips For Creating Your OFFER POST that will attract ATTENTION.

in #steemfleamarket6 years ago (edited)

With @STEEMFLEAMARKET - giving means winning.

Will the @SteemFleaMarket become a trusted and reliable marketplace where givers, buyers and sellers can interact peacefully and securely when exchanging their unique possessions? We hope so.

From hundreds of comments that we've received so far, all being 100% positive and welcoming, to all the suggestions that you guys have made in the last few days - all of it made a big difference in our hearts and we are having more fun building atop of your great wishes for the project. The vibes are good and powerful.

The steemit community approved and loved our ambition to bring the best Flea Market-like experience to STEEMit.com for everyone to grow and benefit from. We're on a mission to be come the Amazon of steemit. That's some cohoneys, man.

Our mission is simple.

We are here to create a circular economic flow utilizing the power of up-votes to give to the world and at the same time help STEEM and SBD appreciate in value overtime - thus ultimately making every account on steemit.com grow in power and influence.

#STEEMFLEAMARKET is a circular P2P marketplace for everyone to use freely on the STEEM blockchain. We are focused on facilitating transactions. Something akin to Craigslist or Facebook ads etc. We rely on people to be honest to make deals happen. This requires a community initiative where people know the people they are doing business. We have SteemThat for this very purpose. The original Idea behind #STEEMFLEAMARKET doesn't require anyone to physically exchange STEEM or SBD. They get the up votes and the person ships the item. Simple.
This is the simplicity of Steam Flea market and is our core focus.

You've asked - we delivered.

People want more options. With four different styles of making offer posts, anyone and everyone can find their unique way to selling through @steemfleamarket.

If people feel comfortable doing the auction style or buy now classified style then they can. If they don't feel comfy doing that they have the lucky winner give away style they can do.

It's these little things that make the @SteamFleaMarket name the smart way to go about listing your items for a giveaway or sale. Many can look at the #steemfleamarket and they can imitate, but never duplicate! We are here to enable people to give freely to those who need it most and we back our users with friendly support, quality assurance and core human values like mutual respect - upon which steemit.com is built. We want to care.

The sometimes inconvenient thing about Steemit is that it is only really dev and tech friendly. Casual users can't be bothered about the blockchain or all of the lingo and learning for days.

Steem Flea Market wants to stay simple, but effective.

While giving away a mint Alpha Romeo GT 3.2 takes a true believer of STEEMIT to list on the #STEEMFLEAMARKET - we think that there's a great potential in giving away or selling smaller things that people might find useful such as Baby diapers for steemit moms.

Let's look at some of the new tools and ways that @steemfleamarket presents you with to help you make the best out of this giving/buying/selling experience that is so brand new to steemit...

Hitchcock's guide to...Creating effective posts with @steemfleamarket

No, but seriously. If Hitchcock was around he'd probably give a thing or two away through @steemfleamarket. Simply because he'd have no other alternatives... @kaliju has prepared this handy guide for you, which may, and probably will, be revised in the future to help everyone get started and hopefully answer a few of the questions that people had from our introduction post.

NEW! Now, when you list an item on @steemfleamarket - not only do you get an instant 0.100SBD sent to your account for using our EasyFlea! article submission form, but the reach and up-votes are 100% guaranteed from our side to almost instantly trigger an UPVOTE-GIVEAWAY style listing if the threshold for number of up-votes is set to something realistic like below $10.

Pro Tip!
Offers under $10 and under $20 will move all day long. Steemit isn’t really big enough for a lot of up-votes giveaways, though high ticket items might move through our [AUCTION]-style and [DIRECT SBD SALE]-style of article listings.

That said, we have a few solutions/innovations coming your way and we will roll things out slowly, through updates, in the near future.

Announcing EasyFlea! Goods and Services Listing Tool (Alpha)

fleavote.png

List directly to @steemfleamarket and get some cool perks, like instantly getting 0.100SBD transfered to your wallet and getting your post heavily up-voted by @bellyrub ! We pay YOU so you can sell with confidence!
This is awesome. You can start using our easy EasyFlea! Article Listing tool to list your goods and services on @steemfleamarket and it's the simplest, smartest thing to do as you'll see in a moment. @binkley has worked hard to bring this to you guys and while it is far from being finished (lots of features planned!) you can start listing your stuff right now and every post will have a standard look to keep our community clean: REAL USE EXAMPLE #1 and EXAMPLE #2

And now, please enjoy our easy-peasy, sale-guaranteezy, HOW-TO guide to get you started right away!

1...2...3 - you have your first Flea!

1. Go to https://SteemThat.com/easy-flea

This is still in ALPHA but please try it out!

2. Fill out our exclusive EasyFlea! article submission form:

Untitled20171126170413.jpg

ATTENTION! To maintain consistency and quality, begin your title with [@YourSteemitUserName #SteemFleaMarket] write your post title here and end with [TYPE OF OFFER].

You can choose from four different types of offer:

[UPVOTE-GIVEAWAY], [DIRECT SALE], [TRADE], or [AUCTION].

  • Give Away Style - If The Up-vote Reaches The Set Minimum Then It Triggers A Random Give Away To A User That Up-voted, Res-Steemed and Commented Why They're Interested In The Item During The 7 Day Payout Period!
  • The Auction Style Is New But My Favorite Too - You create a post with your #steemfleamarket hash tag. People place their bids in the comments and at the close of the post the highest bidder wins. You could set a reserve/minimum acceptable bid and have some fun!
  • Of course you have the Buy Now style or classified ad style called [DIRECT SALE]. You describe the Item for sale, put your asking price in SBD and the person that offers you what you want or haggles with you to get the price you both agree on gets the item.

Please see the chart below and make an appropriate selection:

1.UPVOTE-GIVEAWAY2.DIRECT SBD SALE3. AUCTION4. TRADE
SET AMINNIMUM "UPVOTE" TAGRGETNAME YOUR PRICECLASSIC MINIMUM BIDFIND STEEMIANS TO TRADE WITH
...to cover the initial cost of the item so you are not at a loss!...see if anyone is interest to directly buy with SBD!start with 1 SBD and see how high you can go!Looking for something? Ask if anyone's got it. Trade your CD's, Books and whatever else.
Community up-votes will decide the fate of this offer.Garage-sale anyone? Can't beat the prices!Classic bid system. Bids accepted only from those who up-vote first and then bid with their value in the comments. This is best done locally so use a local Steem Flea Market hashtag, for example #steemfleamarket-usa

3. Write Short Description:

Describe your item and set the price. Tip: Include item condition, back story (if there is one!) and what you're trying to accomplish with your giveaway/sale.

Start with small items that cost you under $10 - you will raise the money in up-votes FAST. When you become an established, reputable seller/giver on @steemfleamarket - then, you can try selling or giving away something bigger in value, over $50 and up. Don't start offering cars as your first Flea Market offer lol.

In the attention economy, we must be able to attract viewership and the best way to that is to follow these guidelines. This is also where our PROMO PACK post with graphics come i - -n - allowing you to decorate and brand your posts further to ogain maximum attention.

Get your #steemfleamarket graphics here and use them at the end of your post/article description.

Be creative! Have fun with it.

4. Add your photos:

Photo's are mandatory and the more detailed they are the better. Upload them natively to steemit with a drag and drop action. And they should appear normally, like this:
A6502398.JPG

5. Shipping Methods/Location:

Leave your initial terms and conditions about shipping (especially for items you're willing to send internationally). You can always iron out the details in private through private messaging on SteemThat.com - I encourage everyone to register on SteemThat (no need for your steemit keys) and take advantage of all the Steem Flea Market tools available on our Steem Flea Market Support Page.

@kaliju is there and will always assist you should you have any questions or run into troubles. He's there to help and takes the Steem Flea Market initiative seriously. SteemThat.com is our preferred and also a very secure, reliable way to communicate privately.

I mean, this is customer service we are talking about here!

Who else can do it like we do it? :)

You are welcome to also exchange your Twitter handles, Facebook messenger, Google Hangouts, Email, Discord, Telegram, Kakaotalk, Whatsapp, Line or use steemit.chat with your Flea Market "customers" or "merchants" using the comments section.

The following extra steps are necessary to include in your offer post if you choose an
[UPVOTE-GIVEAWAY] style post or [AUCTION] style post:

6. Minimum Up-vote Amount To Trigger Random Giveaway:

This is only for if you've chosen to give something away using Steem Flea Market's “Up-vote Lottery Style Give Away If The Up-vote Meets The Minimum” UPVOTE-GIVEAWAY option. This is the original idea behind it all and hopefully we can see the true power of what STEEMit can do for us when a few powerful up-vote guilds or individuals decide to back this cause. With community's up-votes any item can be easily covered for shipping so the person that is giving it away is not at a loss and some lucky person out there receives the item being given away, which could affect their lives in a powerful way.

7 Minimum Comment SBD Bid:

Indicate this in your post. This is for your typical minimum-bid style post where you collect SBD/STEEM bids using the replies/comment section of the post. This is optional and is not the intended use for Steem Flea Market, but you're the boss :) So, go at it. We want our "shop-keepers" to have many options of selling or giving away their items.

@steemfleamarket is the smart way to sell, give away and trade!

You can browse through all current offers with https://steemthat.com/steem-flea-market/ ! This is under development but hopefully will one day be stand alone. No matter who comes along in the future, remember who did it first ;) Again, thanks to @binkley for staying up over 52 hours working on stuff behind the curtains. Hardcore.

At https://steemthat.com/steem-flea-market/ - We have created an easy way to navigate by title and picture and new, hot and trending categories. This also helps you look in the areas that you could possibly ship within, easier than international usually. When creating a post I would recommend making a headline At The Top That Lets People Know Which Posting Style You Are Doing - Giveaway - Auction - Buy Now! As @kaliju described above.
Our EasyFlea! Article Submission Form and other features are wonderful community ideas we are pursuing to give all users a better experience.

Smart Way.png

Here's a quick copy and paste version to help you design your offer post properly (this is for the description field):

SELLER: @YourSteemItName

Item Title:

Short Description:

Add your photos:

Shipping Methods:

Location:

Minimum Upvote Amount To Trigger Random Giveaway:

Minimum Comment SBD Bid:

Buy Now Price:

Things to remember:

70% redistribution to commentators or up-voters if the item doesn’t sell, make the giveaway threshold, or meet the reserve bid. 20% to the seller/poster and 10% for @steemfleamarket from the total payout at the end of a 7 day period. It's a WIN WIN WIN system loyal to our vision of Equal Reward Distribution approach to doing things here on steemit.

As, always looking for suggestions from the community and are continuously working on implementing new ideas to improve this service. Steemians built it and they will continue to build it to make #STEEMFLEAMARKET the best buy/sell/giveaway experience on the STEEM blockchain.

Start selling on @steemfleamarket!

We want @steemfleamarket to become every Steemians' brand shopping experience on the STEEM block chain in the true p2p style and spirit.

One user @dlina-v-metrah commented:

I still did not quite understand the technology. I can post in my blog post with the tag #steemfleamarket, and in the comments people will offer their price? Or should I do it on some other site? If at home, and we agree with the buyer - where should the money be stored, until the buyer reaches the goods? Who is the guarantor?

This is something that we need to understand clearly: When you use a #steemfleamarket hashtag, it remains just that - a hashtag. But not just any hashtag - it's the name in the hashtag that we want people to recognize and trust. So anyone can create a post using the #steemfleamarket on their own terms. But it is all P2P just like @steembay for example and we are not and cannot approve those posts as legitimate @steemfleamarket posts.

However, if someone uses our EasyFlea! Form to post to @steemfleamarket couple of things happen that work in your advantage and guarantee success:

  1. You become a GIVER/SELLER on @steemfleamarket and we do the rest. Your reputation is our reputation. We promote your post for maximum exposure.
  2. You get 0.100SBD sent to your wallet just for using the service.
  3. Your posts will get boosted by a powerfulfulful up-vote bot like like @bellyrub - so if your item is a realistic $10 or $20, together with our boost and up-votes from our followers/steemit community - the stuff you're giving away will be covered so you are never at a loss.
  4. Selling @steemfleamarket ensures that yours and everyone's posts look consistent in structure as per this guide. It is important to present your self as a serious merchant and establish a good image with our community, so next time people see your name, they know that they're dealing with someone legitimate and worthy of their time. Think Amazon.
  5. When your items get covered by up-votes - you get paid all of it.
  6. If the item fails to reach the target price where you can't even afford to give it away because of shipping costs, then you and the auction participants still get paid. 70% of the total 7-day payout will be distributed to everyyy steemian who worked hard to write a meaningful comment explaining why they need the item, up---voteddd and re-steemed your article, yes, they will beyes, they will be entitled to an equal share of that 70%. 20% of the total payout at the end of a 7-day period will ALWAYS go to the seller and 10% will be allocated to @steemfleamarket to grow the account so one day it can up-vote any item and single-highhandedly cover the givers' costs.

Who knows, maybe someone like @ned or @thejohalfiles (who showed his support on our opening post, thank you so much), could someday decide to delegate us enough steempower so we could put it to good use, expand on our original idea and make it possible for @steemfleamarket to enable Steemians to give their things away to charities or other legitimate causes helping the less fortunate without incurring any losses to the one's giving things away and also profiting the investors. Imagine if, during some disaster people come together, donate commodities though the unified open circular market that is @steemfleamarket, resulting in steemit.com ending up on the front cover of Times magazine or CNN.

That's a dream worth fighting for and we will continue to invest, promote and help steemians to start giving the things they no longer need to those that do, and selling merchandise like we don't even need the evil eBay or Amazon. :)

#STEEMFLEAMARKET IS PROUDLY BUILT BY AND POWERED BY THE STEEMIT COMMUNITY

We are building a bot that will push our @steemfleamarket to new horizons and that takes resources and time. @kaliju is doing all of the current curation manually and correcting/designing every post to make it look quality and stay true to this guide can also be tough. I have a job and a family just like everyone else and can always respect and appreciate small crypto donations to keep me going.

If you wish to support the development of @steemfleamarket, our planned android app and more down the line, then please consider donating a coin of your choice to @kaliju here:

Congratulations @steemfleamarket, this post is the most rewarded post (based on pending payouts) in the last 12 hours written by a Dust account holder (accounts that hold between 0 and 0.01 Mega Vests). The total number of posts by Dust account holders during this period was 4019 and the total pending payments to posts in this category was $450.81. Doesn't mean very much when most of it came from bot votes, and not people agreeing that the content should be upvoted.

People not agreeing that the content should be upvoted? People not seeing the content you mean. Things move fast and minnows get buried quick if they don't use promo tools like bots to help their content get some visibility. What do you think? This content shames 70% of all other low-effort, scammmy garabge on steemit. When I spend a day working on it, ignoring my family time, doing something for the people here? Hey, you bet your ass I'm going to promote it.

Promoting it and buying votes are two different things. The comment I replied to says this is the most rewarded post "written by a Dust account holder". I'm simply pointing out that the "rewards" only mean so much when most of it came from purchased votes. It didn't come from the public rewarding you for "taking time away from your family", it came by artificial means.

Awesome post friend.
I like your all content because your content type and quality is so good.
best of luck go ahead friend.
