DAOStack is a DAPP of governance. You can make any proposal and the community will vote on if your project should have funds allocated to it.
It is a reputation based platform, so those with the highest reputation will likely have their projects approved more easily.

When you vote on project you receive rewards based on the outcome of the election. If you voted Yes and the project is approved you are rewarded in GEN. If you vote No and the proposal gets denied you will also be rewarded.
In order to vote you must have a reputation on the network. 50% of all the reputation on the network is needed in order for a regular proposal to pass.
This does not apply for boosted proposals. To boost a proposal a significant amount of GEN must be staked. A Boosted proposal is approved or denied based on majority vote.
DAOStack mainnet is in the Alpha stage.

This platform looks like to Steemit. Projects of those with the highest reputation are more likely to be approved. A disadvantage to me. Thanks for sharing.
