The propeller first used on the SS Archimedes in 1838 served to propel this unusual ship. Two servo motors were used to move and rotate evenly, driven and controlled by a Circuit Playground Express. This project is a perfect introduction for technical concepts and for programming the web-based code editor MakeCode.

If you've never used the Circuit Playground Express with MakeCode before, this guide is a good start.

Archimedes Boat is a good exercise for programming and after completion an experimental toy for children.

What kind of programming does it use for this diy robot?

I am engineering student that I really wanted to build this kind of robotic. The design is really yet really fun to play with. People who wanted to learn would really encourage to learn.

Looks like an fun and educational robotic build that involved engineering and coding ability. Great for kids to learn the basics of coding and bit of engineering as well. You can make the robot with household items and the brain of the robot is an adafriut Circuit Playground Express.

Great hunt! Interesting concept of this IoT and robotic that this would be a great example for motivating kids to make and create this type of IoT things.

This remind me of my physics teacher. Archimedes principle. Just imagine its easy to demonstrate this principle now. Nice hunt.

I must confess that this is really cool because really the first word that popped into my head when I saw it was: kids. This would really be fun playing with.
Thanks for Thanks for sharing this hunt with us all

I think this is unique! It looks simple but obviously takes time to develop. Children will find a new happiness in toys like this because it works with any material they choose to use it on. Hoping to see what design children will come up with after getting Archimedes.

Congratulations!
