For many that have experienced cardiac arrests in the past, they can probably attest it is as close to death as they have felt. Truth is, cardiac arrests can be very fatal if not timely addressed. Which is why tools like this app have come into existence, to make sure cardiac arrests get help on time before emergencies arrive hnence improving the survival rate of cardiac arrest victims.
The First Responder App statistics show cardiac arrest victims who use the app get help 3 minutes prior to the arrival of emergency services. In a matter of life or death instance, I think we can all agree 3 minutes could seem like an eternity.
Where implemented, the App allows bystanding persons to provide life‐saving assistance to victims of SCD. Users who have proven they are trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and willing to assist in case of an emergency can be notified over the First Responder App if someone nearby is having a cardiac emergency and may require CPR.
