RE: Block42 - Stepping stone for students into the coding world

Back in my day all we had was a HTML class and you were lucky to get in it! We used notepad for a while before they let us even open Dreamweaver -gasp!

That is quite neat all these different products that can be used in the class room these days. Alright class now open up Minecraft today we are learning about logic gates.

Yes, it is amazing to see an abundance of resources and tools for education these days. How are your programming endeavors going?

Nonexistent these days. Was going try and get something out for that Game Jam a couple weeks back in python but it never happened. One guy left since he did not want get involved in crypto and other one going thought some life struggles. So things are quite dead for now. We never really got past anything other than some brain storming and concept ideas that would gotten us sued into the ground by a bunch of companies anyways!

At least I discovered from that Game Jam an interesting little site for indie developer to post a game to.

I got a memory of a gold fish so I’ve already forgotten a lot basic stuff. Whenever I find some free time again and gain some motivation I’ll try and make something short and use that site to upload it to. If I recall Engineerman had a coding challenge chart with a few gaming ideas lists. I have it bookmarked somewhere. Seems like a great spot to start out solo.

Yes, it is not easy to find time and motivation. Mainly it seems we can remember more if we actually code. I haven't been playing with python for a while too. I may need to start again. I think solo projects probably better to learn. I tried to bring the Engineerman to Steem, but seems he is not interested.
