Tutanota is a end-to-end encrypted email service that encrypts all data on the device and aims to provide secure electronic communication. This product/service can be a good alternative to mainstream email services for users who are concerned about the privacy and security of their data, and communications.

Tutanota is also open source and codes can be reviewed at Tutanota Github. While it does offer free services which is limited to 1 GB storage space, it also has options for premium and pro paid services with additional features and bigger storage space.

Tutanota can used on browsers and also has apps available for IOS and Android devices. Feel free to browse their website and see what they have to offer to determine if this can become your next secure electronic communications tool.

    Pros:

    • It could be used on different operating systems, the app for example on Android and iOs
    • It is open source so everyone can see how it works and may improve the code

    Pros :

    • It is an open source email service which means people can use it for free
    • It can be an alternative email service
    • It helps encrypt your data which makes it more secured
    • Available on iOS and Android devices

    Cons :

    • Free version has a limited storage of 1 GB which i think is too small. You need to purchase on the upgraded version to avail bigger storage space

    Pros:

    • Great alternative to mainstream email service which is open source.
    • Very compatible to Android and iOS devices.
    • Application is free with high level encryption and confidentiality to the user and its respective contacts.

    Cons:

    • None for this great app.

    Pros:

    • The best thing about this is security. No one wants their private emails and messages' information being leaked.
    • Of course, it is FREE and open to everyone who would like to improve the system
    • Compatible with both iOs and Android.

    Cons:

    • The 1GB storage is quite small since today, almost all transactions are already done in emails. Paying for subscription fee would be costly

    Pros :

    • It is an open source project where people can see the codes and can contribute if there's something wrong or should be fix
    • It is a cross-platform email service
    • It will encrypt your email data which is secured
    • It has a free service for everybody to try and test it

    Cons :

    • The free service is only 1 GB which is small for an email services.

    Tutanota automatically encrypts all your data on your device. Your mails as well as your contacts stay private.
    Can easily communicate with any of your friends end-to-end encrypted.

    Pros:

    • Provides encrypted mailbox for free.
    • It's an open source and forever free.
    • It has a strong encryption type service
    • You can easily communicate with any of your friends end-to-end encrypted.
    • It is available in web browsers so that you can view your mailbox anywhere and it is available in mobile apps both Android and iOs.

    Cons:

    • Bigger storage is available only in pro version.
    • Nothing more I can see at the moment
