Mix.com is a new content discovery platform that was founded by the same people behind StumbleUpon. It's not exactly a social media platform, but you can follow and be followed.

As StumbleUpon is closing end of this month, they will focus on Mix and users from StumbleUpon can migrate their account to Mix.com.

Mix reminds me of Pinterest and Flipboard, and it's useful for bloggers to get more traffic to their blogs.

How it works is that you can add links to the platform, into your own personal collections. Those who follow you can see your collections and the articles you curated. How the algorithm works, nobody knows for now.

You can also use their Chrome extension (Mix) to make it easier for you to add new articles into your collections.

They also have the app on iOS and Android if you're interested. Do check it out if you're a blogger.

    Pros:

    1. It is a free web platform for all users.
    2. It let you own your own portfolio where you can share your products.
    3. It is a place where you can build a social media presence for your business
    4. It has an app version where you can easily operate to catch the latest updates.
    5. It has a share feature which allow you to promote your content on other social media networks.

    Cons:
    Still lack users as they are moving from StumbleUpon to this new platform

            I've been using the app stumbleupon because there are tons of interesting ideas in one place, haven't thought that they are closing.

            But this platform seems to be the replacement. Thanks for this info @howtostartablog

            Here are my thoughts

            Pros:

            • Professional and educational
            • Available on both iOS and Android
            • Awesome collections you can find that helps you broaden your knowledge and improve your skills
            • Convenient for everyone as it is free
            • Perfect platform to surf while killing time

            Cons:

            • None. Such a helpful platform, would love to see further. :)
