I generally like the idea to be able to check the temperature of your sick child constantly, and checking the temperature in ear is the most accurate way. The problem I see here is that children in general don't like to have something on their head, ear, etc. Even a 3 year old kid would need to be convinced to have that device the whole time in the ear. So it is an interesting concept and for kids who are willing in their sick state to keep that device in their ear it would be a very convenient way for parents to keep track on the the status for their child.
