EarthViewer is a free application made by The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) that allows you to take a look back at the 4.5 billion years of Earth's history.

EarthViewer includes continental maps that go back billions of years, Sea level maps that go forward thousands of years, and real global temperature maps for over a hundred years.

Earth's climate is ever-changing. The EarthViewer application uses years of scientific research to put loads of historical information about our precious planet right at your fingertips.
