Paying Attention to Your Hunter Level and Why It's Important

Paying close attention to your hunter level is going to help enhance your overall experience on the @steemhunt platform.

I enjoy spending a lot of time figuring out the fun and exciting apps that reside on our blockchain. Steemhunt is by far one of my favorites for multiple reasons, one of which is hunter levels.

Here, you are going to receive a simplified version of what hunter levels consist of so that you can maximize your experience throughout your Steemhunt journey.

For a fully-detailed breakdown on this topic, you can visit this post written by Steemhunt from a few months ago.

A Unique Scoring System

Hunter level is Steemhunt's own reputation system they use to determine how credible your account is. Steemit, as you are most aware of, has a reputation scoring system based upon stake-weighted voting. The more upvotes you receive from large Steem Power holders, the faster your reputation will rise.

On Steemhunt, they take in additional factors when determining your hunter level. Your hunter level is going to increase when you take genuine actions on the platform that add value to the community. Selfish ambitions normally do not result in positive outcomes.

In fact, if you attempt to game (or rip off) the Steemhunt system, you run the risk of having your account banned for life which would also cause you to lose all of your earned airdrop tokens. But, since you are a nice person, you won't need to worry about that now will you?

One of the main reasons Steemhunt created hunter levels is because it's a fully-fledged solution to reduce the abusive activity on the platform and increase the quality of the ranking charts.

A user's hunter level starts off at 0 and can reach all the way up to level 5 which means there are a total of 6. In order to fully understand how hunter levels are calculated, we must first dive into a person's user score.

The User Score

Every hunter inside the community is fully tied to their user score. A user score no Steemhunt is a compilation of 4 different factors. Account credibility, activity score, curation score, and hunt score.

Account credibility takes into consideration a user's Steemit reputation score as well as the age of the Steemhunt account. Activity score is just that...how active are you on the platform and how often are you using it?

Curation score is how often you are curating hunts and how much weight you are using on each vote. Read this post for the technical nitty gritty of curation score.

Lastly, the hunt score is calculated by how many quality hunts are approved by the Steemhunt team and also how well they rank each day compared to other hunts.

The easy way to think of user score is by using one word that was mentioned earlier...activity. How often are you USING Steemhunt and engaging with the community?

Let's face it...it's easier to spend time on platforms that you enjoy using. If you aren't a big fan of Steemhunt, then you most likely are a bigger fan of @steemmonsters or @dtube for instance. Not everyone is going to enjoy the same Dapps.

You see, ALL of the Dapps that we use today are so new and are hungry for genuine users to actively use their platforms. Since these Dapps are being built on the Steem blockchain, there are built-in incentives to take daily action. Taking action on Steemhunt is currently resulting in higher hunter levels and also HUNT tokens delivered straight to your wallet balance.

To conclude, the higher your hunter level is, the more sincere of a hunter you are. My goal is to reach hunter level 5 by consistently adding value to the Steemhunt community in the form of comments, upvotes, review posts, and hunts.

Honestly, there really isn't any other way to stay ahead in life other than to be a person of integrity. To use the platforms in the way they were intended to be used and to stay true to who you are as a human being.

If you found this post helpful, feel free to smack that upvote button. See you down in the comments Steem friend.

Peace :)

I use steemhunt on a daily basis , mostly upvoting and commenting , I really love the ease of use platform @kenmelendez although I rarely post stuff because I have a hard time getting the links right and have been delisted for it. My reputation is up quite a bit once I stopped posting to "Level 4 ( 5.65) with 5,127.42 hunt tokens saved up, cant wait to find out what they are worth once the SMTs launch in March , or how they can be used! Great post , upped and resteemed for ya!👍✌💕
