WOW, this looks like a very interesting tool! When having multiple online storage accounts with the big brands, this tool come in handy to access the files spread through different services, within a single interface. It is web based, which makes it easy to use anywhere, even on other peoples PCs, Laptops, and smart devices. I personally like to use client software, over web based software, so I certainly hope these guys will come up with these as well. While on the road, I may like to use the web based variant. It's a web UI, you need point it to an SFTP server (or similar) that you own
SFTP is just one of the options, Dropbox, Google are the more common used online storage services that are also supported, at least according to your post and also their website.
Any VPS has ssh so sftp, but yes you can use filestash for many use cases

I see this as an all-in-one solution to manage all types of online storage options right from within a single application. This will help users easily and quickly work through different cloud or FTP storage without hassle of logging in to separate software or websites.
