Algobrix is a coding blocks game to teach kids (of 5 to 13 years) programming using smart coding blocks in a fun and easy way; and early in their age, helps the children to develop critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and logical thinking. The kids not only have fun playing with the blocks, but also learn actual coding through the blocks by step-by-step coding missions and command sequences without needing any help from their parents.

There are two types of blocks used to program an algobot: functions and parameters. Function blocks are used for lights, movements and sounds; they tell the algobot what to do while parameters blocks are used to code actions. Parameter blocks are placed on top of the function blocks.

The Algobrix kit includes 3500 building blocks to create algobots, 210 activity cards, 14 activity boards, 322 parameter blocks, 70 function blocks, and several sensor blocks and LED lights.

Using Algobrix, the kids will learn about:

  • parameters
  • functions
  • loops
  • multithreading
  • inputs
  • conditions
  • robot navigation
  • command sequencing
  • algorhythms
  • if...then...
  • real-time debugging
    and much more...


Overall, algobrix serves dual purpose: learning and playing at the same time. It is a smart solution to help your kids learn programming early in their age in a fun and fast way while enabling them to think logically and critically.

      Wow a new coding blocks game for kids!
      Below are my personal review :

      Pros :

      • Can be really educational for kids that they may learn programming
      • Even kids around 5 to 13 years old can easily learn programming with this coding blocks game
      • It does have sensor blocks with 70 function blocks
      • It has LED lights that can help with kids to clearly see the blocks
      • It does use Algobrix which kids will learn more things

      Cons :

      • None for this sine its a learning materials for kids.

        Pros: WOW!, it's just perfect for kids to start to learn to programme easily. From functions, loop, and much more.
        Cons: maybe it's dangerous for -10 years old kids.

          • Teaches children how to develop and programm tools/roboters
          • Ships with a set of predefined sensors, LEDs and other blocks
          • Very good educational benefit in the current technology age

              pros:

              • Educational, informative that provides learning activities for kids
              • It seems like it is so early to teach them programming at a very young age. But if it is fun and interactive,why not?! ;)
              • Advanced learning experience, stirs their imagination and develops their creativity
