WordPress boilerplate with modern development tools, easier configuration, and an improved folder structure. source

This application is not really different from putting WordPress in its own subdirectory but it comes with some features like renaming wp-content/ to app/.

With Bedrock, users can manage their WordPress installations and plugins with Composer and a PHP dependency manager.

The composer makes development process more reliable, it also helps with team collaboration and most importantly, it helps in maintaining a better Git repository.
