WASHINGTON - Senior officials who developed the F-35 stealth fighter jet in the United States (US) are known to have covered the plane's disability from the most expensive military program of all time. In fact, hidden deficiencies are dangerous for the safety of the pilot.

The actions of officials of the developer of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter were revealed in an investigative report on Project On Government Oversight (POGO).

"Officials at the F-35 Joint Program Office made a reclassified record of potentially life-threatening design defects to make them appear less serious, perhaps in an effort to prevent the $ 1.5 trillion program from evaporating through other schedules from deadlines and budget limits," the report said. POGO investigation released Wednesday Washington time.
